already happened.
Expect up to 9 new boys in NC 14 A this year.
Predictions

Will the NC 15 As ever lose a match? Not this year.
BBC still to good in 14As
GT to win 13A (with loads of "new boys")

TGS to be very competitive in 1sts.

I really enjoyed watching TGS firsts last year

I wouldn't be surprised to see both Terrace and BBC challenge Nudgee in the 15A's

Agree re : BBC in the 14's ...they've got even stronger since last season

Can't see Terrace finishing Top 2 in the 13's . It's still IGS's premiership to lose and they should see a strong challenge from State High . Terrace look like 3rd or 4th ...3rd will be a good result for them as they build considering they came stone motherless last season

re BBC 14A this year- yes i heard 1or2 mates from rep teams had turned up.UQ player helping out said the backline was " ridiculously good"
but while the QRU worries about who is coaching the Reds next year i heard the Broncos had 3 already under lock and key as they also do out of NC 15 A plus Parra Eels have one from NC 15A
wake up QRU!

as for NC 15A the 3 players they brought in last year were brilliant and kept them ahead of a chasing pack.
i agree it will be closer but cant see anyone beating them especially if they have more new players this year.

I'm not sure the QRU are to blame . Schools will bring in league players after all - who continue to play league and remain in leaugue's talent ID season

The vast majority of the boys' hearts ( and their families ) remain in league

I thought GT beat Nudgee in the clash for the spoon in a game of two teams without a win - did NC upset someone late??
The GPS website says Nudgee beat BBC in the 12's last year....but if Terrace beat Nudgee to share honours for last place .....I guess Terrace can claim " big spoon" position which leaves "little spoon" position for Nudgee

:)

The NC 15A might have 1 or 2 new boys-and they certainly expect to be undefeated again.Like last year they have marked BBC & Gt as danger teams. For many of the team -they are aiming for 4 premierships in a row.

Watched the NC 1sts squad train last week. Big,fast & mean. Yes- Hewat is the best player in comp.
I agree with others that top 3 appear to be:
-NC;
TSS ;
BBC

NC plays BBC at home.where do we playTSS?

1. Gavin Luka NUDGEE QLD 1
4. Reece Hewat NUDGEE QLD 1 (captain)
12. Calvin Pritchard NUDGEE QLD 1
These Qld players are all returning with national champs experience and will
undoubtedly be in the squad. This year will be Hewats third year in QLD 1 so he will captain coming back from a standout season for Australia last year.

Above taken from NSW thread on Aust Schoolboys 2015.
I have to agree -if the big 3 stay fit then NC will be very hard to beat.
Pritchard at last looks fit and injury free. His match -ups with Sua (ACGS) and Ikatau (BBC) will be huge.

Score of the Newington v TGS games reported on the NSW GPS thread:

Thats probably not a bad result for the Cow-Chasers. They wouldn't have played a game before that (except for possibly a quick punch up with Downlands). Newington are playing the first round of GPS in a week and a half, so they are well ahead in the preparation stakes.

T-Ba will be their usual "may-not-win-but-will-die-trying" selves this year - no doubt.

Gary, 100% correct about schools bringing in leagues. Said this all last year but appeared to fall on deaf ears..... The most common comment was "Why are these boys choosing league over Union"
Answer : These boys have been bought in with a league background
What group of scouts are most common at schoolboy RL comps ???
Not NRL scouts.... GPS schools !!!!!!
BSHS are always at the trials and a friends son has already been approached.
He is still 2 years off high school !!!!!!

State High got Wally Lewis in 40 years ago, nothing new there!

Warrenwobble the point I'm trying to make is that GPS schools chase the league boys. My comment in relation to BSHS was just an example that I know of first hand.

Bad Dream,
I get it and I agree with you, but it's part of the game now.
Plenty of good Leagies have graced a GPS First XV Jersey in Brisbane and Sydney over the years.
The GPS Premiers last year had one of the better ones to go through in recent times.
The good thing is we get to watch them on a Saturday afternoon playing real Rugby and to cheer them on while they do it!
