After only three rounds out of 1st’s, 2nd’s and all teenage A teams, there are only 16 teams left undefeated. Nine of these have had the luxury of the bye round to help them remain undefeated. The undefeated teams are as follows:-

1sts:- TSS, ACGS, NC

2nds:- TSS, NC

16A’s:- TSS, NC

15A’s:- GT

14A’s:- GT, BSHS, IGS, NC

13A’s:- GT, BBC, BSHS, IGS

Some great match ups then this Saturday which will narrow down the undefeated teams left.

Firsts - ACGS V NC - in my opinion, this will be the premiership decider. And my tip is NC with just a touch more class in the forwards (if Mafi is playing - all bets off if he is not as I would then say maybe too close to call).

14A's - GT v IGS - I understand that GT touched up a very injury depleted IGS team by around 50 points in a trial. I think this game is going to be much closer in a battle of the forwards.

13A's BBC v BSHS - both teams have been slaying all comers around them in the GPS rounds and this game will also probably decide the best team in this division. Sounds like BBC have the goods, but wet weather football may change the dynamics that have given them the edge.

13A's GT v IGS - a small well drilled team against a big strong team in the wet.

Next week's matchups in the older grades between NC and TSS will be a cracker!!!

So your one of those tall poppy NC parents that think their son is a footballer . You know everything about coaching and playing but you never achieved it.
Why be negative on individual players. Do you know the pattern. Did the second receiver run the right line to the support player ring the right line. . Was the 10 to flat . Did you understand that. Maybe you can give us an insight into how To beat NC ???

RD, for the record, you are wrong on all counts.

My comments were not personal at all, they were about the options the team took at a critical time in the match. As it so happens most strategic options are taken on the field by either the 10, the 9 or the 12. But someone of your deep knowledge of the game would know that.

Less time getting punchy on the blog and more time on the spell check for you old friend. Enjoy the weekend of rugby and keep it clean.

I heard NC has changed their backs for this week ... Wish they had played that back line against us last week, we would of been in with a better chance...good luck to the NC coaches with the changes... Hope the boys from Churchie don't enjoy the lack of aggression to much... My tip was NC but with the changes tipping Churchie by 12

For those fearing the forecast wet weather may impact on the NC- ACGS game, fear not. I have heard Churchie have just rounded up 100 peasants and they will be pushed into any puddles to use their filthy rags to sop up any excess water and any of the year 12s with helicopter licences (most of the senior cohort) will hover over the main oval to keep it dry. Can't have that billion dollar premiership mucked up by some wet weather!!!

I heard they replaced them with the NC swim team. Could prove to be a master stroke. ;-)

Tips for R4:
NC vs ACGS: ACGS by 3
GT vs IGS: GT by 3
BSHS vs BBC: BBC by 3

Seems like a close round? (For those 3 fixtures)

Matt Forsyth playing on the GT Firsts wing tomorrow.

Are there any others who have turned out for two Brisbane GPS School Firsts?

I am told he is playing very well.

Thought they would of had more representation in the BJRU City side for such a HOT team.

Should be an interesting day at GT if the IGS lads continue the form from last weekends game v TSS. The heavy track will favour the Red & White pack and the GT inside backs will not be given an inch by Page, Hammond & Co. IGS by 9 in an arm wrestle

Are there any others who have turned out for two Brisbane GPS School Firsts?

Stapleton definitely. I'm sure there have been others. I have a feeling there was a BSHS/ACGS crossover in recent years.

Quirk played at Iona and BSHS, but I thought there was a Churchie one.

Know a few who have played and graduated at non-gps schools then turned out for NC.
