Gee what has happened to BBC...

On another note, BGS were well and truly in the game about 10 minutes into the second half (up by 5ish). However, BGS defence slackened off and big Toowoomba cattle at 1 and 3 were able to make easy metres. Tom Sly for BGS had yet another blinder, leading the BGS attack and kicking for goal superbly. Oli Fison (BGS 11) scored a brilliant individual try, bitter sweet though, as Toowoomba were victorious just seconds after. BGS centres Wenck and Wolstenholme ran great lines all day. Found that Toowoomba had a very one dimensional attacking plan, cattle up the guts and into em. Without those big beefy props, I think their go forward wouldn't exist.

TE, I know that ACGS 16A, B and C all beat NC, the As and Bs by big margins with very low NC scores, 16C 5-0.

After only three rounds out of 1st’s, 2nd’s and all teenage A teams, there are only 16 teams left undefeated. Nine of these have had the luxury of the bye round to help them remain undefeated. The undefeated teams are as follows:-

1sts:- TSS, ACGS, NC

2nds:- TSS, NC

16A’s:- TSS, NC

15A’s:- GT

14A’s:- GT, BSHS, IGS, NC

13A’s:- GT, BBC, BSHS, IGS

Some great match ups then this Saturday which will narrow down the undefeated teams left.

Firsts - ACGS V NC - in my opinion, this will be the premiership decider. And my tip is NC with just a touch more class in the forwards (if Mafi is playing - all bets off if he is not as I would then say maybe too close to call).

14A's - GT v IGS - I understand that GT touched up a very injury depleted IGS team by around 50 points in a trial. I think this game is going to be much closer in a battle of the forwards.

13A's BBC v BSHS - both teams have been slaying all comers around them in the GPS rounds and this game will also probably decide the best team in this division. Sounds like BBC have the goods, but wet weather football may change the dynamics that have given them the edge.

13A's GT v IGS - a small well drilled team against a big strong team in the wet.

Next week's matchups in the older grades between NC and TSS will be a cracker!!!

BBC won 13A By 24-17 . Their slick backs v monsterous BSHS forwards. Brilliant game of rugby.anyone who know QRU contacts they need to get onto 7 , 12 & 13 of BBC and8 & 12 at BSHS before NRL start sniffing.
BBC won 14A by 24 to 12 .

YesBBC 1st xv have a peculiar smell about them. I have smelt it before at Oaklands Pardade in 2012. Smells a bit like individualism and ego mixed in with injury after injury.
Who does opposed training on a Thursday before a match. That's 3 out for the year.

We lost today to BSHS in the 15A 3-0 ... Great game of rugby tough the players today. Lots of drop ball but well done to both teams do big plays from some players BBC 12 BSHS 8, 4 and 5 were very good ... Congrats to the BSHS 10 on a pressure pentality goal ... BBC let's bounce back next week gold your head up hi...

BBC is not a surprise. Their coaches still ride on success of winning a premiership with Pocock and Cooper (plus another bunch of very talented players). Barker got sacked at ACGS before he went to BBC (remember he didn't coach for a year or two) and Stevenson lead not only GTs worst year ever (2011) but arguably their most disappointing in 2009. BBC has also become the home of 2011 GT Assistant coach White, who was sacked by Lauries despite quite a bit of success.

They are in the same boat as GT currently. You can buy all the players you want but if they are going into substandard structures, it is irrelevant. GT has coaches dining out on a 2004 premiership, despite batting about 20-30% wins since and no top 4 finishes (for this staff).

There seems to be an effort for keeping up appearances in these programs, things like "high performance reviews" and such, but they never address the core failing problems. Both schools were probably more competitive before they were bringing in kids on rugby merit.

GT vs IGS was one way traffic for IGS. they dominated all play through their monster forwards and centres. GT got points through lapses off play by IGS in my opinion. Ippy played a very good game.

Good comment. GT have done well with their "home grown" talent. The quality of the coaching has also pushed many through to rep sides. They keep delivering excellent 7s - Croft, Gill, Toby (last name escapes me) and this years Aust Schoolboy 7!
Things will only get better there with Mick Carroll taking over as Headmaster from next year. A rugby freak, he turned St Pats around single handedly.

Is it correct that 3 of these boys transferred from St Edmonds? I understands Sua started at ACGS this year. Where did he go before that as people at Broncos rate him very highly .
