I've heard the remaining 3 spots for Aus Schools are finalised:

Harley Fox, Anglican Church Grammar School Qld
Izack Rodda, Ipswich Grammar Qld
Izaia Perese, Anglican Church Grammar School Qld

Congratulations to these boys

(From ASRU email to Shadow player this morning)

Taken from the Australian Schoolboys 2014 thread.

Interesting to note that Rodda was injured for trials and Perese didn't trial altogether, does anyone know why?
Congratulations to Fox, well deserved.
I agree B&G there is more BBC dirty washing on here than the Toowong Chinese Laundromat.
Mind you if they were winning in the Firsts, we probably wouldn't be seeing as much.
From the games I've seen in younger age groups the program is strong and as much to do with coaching and commitment as "new" players and that means BBC as a whole is probably now in the top 5 rugby schools and in U13/U14/U15 in the top 3, which it has not been in the past.
The fact that Terrace are having a few issues shows just how well you have to manage things. Nudgee have always had these cultural issues, they just don't hang them out to dry. Note to BBC supporters - whack a lid on it!!
Yes whack a lid on it & grow up.This is what happens in the real world.New staff and new managers get brought in.

PS the news just got worse.Jerumi,Foulds & Tamoua-Swain all out for the year.

If you wanted to see great community spirit, culture, heart and support you should have seen the Nudgee school community gather around their heartbroken 1st XV team after their loss on Saturday.

The rest of the school knows how hard the boys work, the committment they put in.... No one gets an easy ride, they all deserve their position and are rewarded with the support of the whole school no matter what the scoreboard says at the end of the game or season.

Sidekick, I agree that its the brand of rugby they are playing that forces the errors. Changing some talented kids as to how they would play the game can be a task and maybe not working. I guess it comes down to how they coach because the concept seems fine just not the execution.

The other matter on "Christian" though would show that the current hasn't worked especially against our smaller and lighter back row of BSHS but that's the coaches call. I personally would go with a more mobile back row, I think if Ben hung off a little more instead of trying to inject every time he would be amazing and devastating a little wider of the rucks as he was Sat for small periods. That kid is amazing just needs to be used better around the paddock, I thought he might be in the running for the Aussie School Boys squad.

Excellent! If results go their way they can still grab that 4th spot.
5th more likely though.

Looking for them to win 5 games

they have beaten IGS and BGS, lost to TSS

BSHS is almost a gimme,
BBC is a rabble and haven't won a game

I think they split TGS and ACGS (edit)

I have NC as a loss although it is close

Therefore TSS & NC above them who else you got??

I got Nudgee, TSS and Daylight.
Then Toowoomba and probably Churchie.
Then Terrace.
Then the Blind team.
Then the dregs.

Fair enough - IMO GT are closer to Churchie and TGS -(Churchie already lost to IGS) than you think and NC aren't as good - TSS is clearly the best.

We will learn a lot this week from TGS v GT and TSS V NC

For the record I was supporting the team that won the game. Either way I think the whole school community/culture at these games are fantastic and was absolutely astound when I watched my first 1st XV game last year. Hopefully my son will one day be privileged enough to play in one of these games.:)

NC v TSS this weekend, a must win for the NC boys. Any news on Mafi? No disrespect to the current number 2 as I know he was carrying a injury during the game, but they sure missed Mafi against Churchie and he'll be needed to get their line out functioning.
