TSS v BGS (Sept 1)
Southport's #10. Mitch Third is playing tomorrow.
Does anyone know who is Grammar's back-up
goal kicker if Sam Greene gets injured.
This crucial match could be decided by penalty goal.

What does the "B" mean next to a players name on the team lists? Border?

One of the tightest displays of 1st XV rugby I've ever witnessed out at Northgate today, congratulations go to both teams in what was a hard fought affair, however Grammar's resilience and determination to go until the final whistle saw them come out on top.

The score seemed to swing both ways throughout the match and was a nail biter to say the least

11-10 to TSS at half time after a converted try from BGS 13. Birch, and penalty goal from BGS 10. Greene - 2 penalty goals from TSS 10. Mitch Third and unconverted try

Another penalty goal from Greene minutes into the 2nd Half saw Grammar up 13-11

The 3rd penalty goal from Greene not long after saw Grammar up 16-11

TSS went over in the corner and converted successfully, TSS led 18-16

4th penalty goal from Greene saw Grammar get up 19-18

Try from TSS - conversion unsuccessful, TSS up 23-19

2 Minutes remaining - Try from BGS' own Benny Barba 14. Matt Marsden in the corner after a crucial back line move from Greene, Grammar up 24-23 - Conversion successful from Greene, final whistle blown at 26-23 to Brisbane Grammar

I wouldn't get complacent, GT have had a strong game against an improved ACGS - Grammar will be in for a fight at Tennyson next weekend.

Hahahaha! The team that lost to bshs and churchie (who hadn't won a game all season) actually think they have a shot at grammar...

IGS 31 - 18 BBC

solid game by both teams, igs just being the better one on the day.

Churchie won by one point against GT. Grammar only narrowly beat ACGS.

ACGS 13 d GT 12.
Terrace would have to be considered unlucky. Scored 2 tries to one. Led 7-6 at halftime. Churchie appeared to score from a forward pass. Conversion from the sideline on fulltime from Terrace would have got them up by a point. Churchie really were pretty disappointing

GT lost to the 2 worst teams in the comp and are now competing for the wooden spoon. Not a chance against this grammar outfit I believe.

Nudgee 22 def toowoomba
Yeah, saw BGS play today, they were lucky to get away with a win but they did deserve it by playing right through to the final whistle. Really looking like a premiership team

Looks like all eyes are on the BGS vs Nudgee at ross oval in two weeks time.

If BGS lose both their games then it will be a NC title, Assuming TSS wins their next two games.

However, if BGS lose to GT then win against NC, it will be a 3 way tied premiership, once again, assuming TSS win their next two games.

The last scenario would see BGS win both games and take out the premiership leaving TSS 2nd and NC 3rd

@NudgeeSport on twitter says 22-19 to Nudgee over TGS in a tight game.

GT 'should' be a push over for BGS but only a 3 point victory tells me NC are not up to scratch to beat BGS in round 9 since BGS ran over TGS 29 - 12 in round 2. Maybe the Scoreboard doesn't reflect how well either team played today, will be interesting to see the match report.

Current standings after round 7
1 - Nudgee - 12 - Bye to come
2 - BGS - 10
= - IGS - 10 - Bye to come
3 - TSS - 8
4 - TGS - 6
5 - ACGS - 3
= - BBC - 3
6 - BSHS - 2
= - GT - 2

Round 8: TSS v BBC; ACGS v IGS; BSHS v TGS; GT v BGS; NC Bye

Only nudgee or grammar can outrightly win the premiership now. TSS cannot win outrightly, only draw a premiership in a 3 way tie if grammar beat nudgee and lose to GT which is very unlikely

So basically it is a grand final with BGS v NC round 9 with the winner becoming outright premiers (assuming BGS beat GT)?
