State High will struggle this year if that's the best they can do against a side like Grammar. Toowoomba beating Churchie would have to surprise a few, that being said the score reflects a close game between two title contenders. Perhaps a few of us underestimated Toowoomba, Churchie face an uphill battle for the premiership with Nudgee next weekend.

1 round down, 8 to go.

Watched 60 minutes of GT v Downlands game. Awful. Dont know what GT get excited about. They are certainly true believers. Then again catholics believe in miracles. No miracles this year. The forward pack has 2 big boppers - 3 & 8. GT scored 3 tries from close range with these players. Last years backline on a par with this years. The only difference in the fowards with these 2 players. In true GT tradition the ball never goes wide to the wingers. Dom Shipperley must be thankful he never went to GT. The so called development program can only be described as in its infancy. Will be a long year for GT. Some of the other GPS schools may have lost some horsepower this year eg BSHS & this might let them win one or two games. Scoring tries will win games not blogs.

considering terrace came last in 2011, gotta give them credit for their performance today. there were promising signs in forwards/backs. you're obviously a terrace hater and we will truly see if they are top 3 contenders after next round's results (where they play igs)

so GT win by 23 points and you bag them and state how it will be a long year for GT, you clearly didn't watch the game everyone else was watching yes 3 and 8 had great games, but no mention of Jack Heenan #13, Kris Larosa #12, Daniel Pepper #6 and Isaac French #4 who again had great games. You need to get your head on straight, this team is much missing Tom Given who will add a spark to the kicking game, they may not be favourites for this year but a spot on the top end of the ladder is well within their reach

charming coming from one of Mr Chapman's Gregory Terrace gentleman.
hey hey i'm no terrace boy, just want fairness in posts on this forum's page. Your post was ridiculously biased and my mate light certainly wouldn't approve. You must be a GT oldboy though ay.

Picked the Churchie upset, whenever I've seen them they really look like a team that just struggles to score points and string phases of play together.

Terrace today looked alright, I looked up at the scoreboard at one point and couldn't believe how far ahead they were. 3. R Green, 10. J Dalgleish, 12. K Larosa and 13. J Heenan all had good games, but the pick of the bunch was 8. Sitanilei and his charging runs.

Maybe you have underestimated Grammar, and overestimated Churchie? In case you didn't realise, you were one of the only people on this forum who predicted Churchie to win. However, Churchie did have a lot of injuries. But surely a school that has recruited as much as them should have the depth to still field a strong team.

completely agree they weren't as dominant as the scoreboard sounds, they were however successful in turning pick and go's into finding gaps for crash balls. When Australian A player #8 Tim Manns came off and terrace were comfortably leading they took the opportunity to play 4 or 5 seconds players for the last 10 minutes to strengthen the depth of players that will most likely be replacements if injuries occur.

Churchie will have to win out now, and in reply to 'the sabanator' i'd add isaac french to the list of top performers, dominant in the lineout as usual
