You get points based off your prediction of who is to win each game. e.g. NC vs BSHS if you say NC win that equals 1 point.

If you have a score margin within 3 points of the actual score you will be rewarded another point. e.g. Your tip is NC vs BSHS (NC+15) and then Nudgee win by 13-18 points then you will be rewarded 1 point.

And if you guess correct margin you receive two points.

If you don't like the way this works let me know I'm open to other suggestions.
Therefore, maximum points per game is 3. Per round is 12.

Quick question, who's srumpack in the GPS is looking absolutely deadly? Any key forwards that stand out?

Thanks
- SDWS
Hey SDWS,

Although I have not seen the best of all teams yet, from what I have witnessed I can say for sure that Nudgee are once again looking to have the best rounded pack. Stand-out performances from the weekend in my opinion were Levi Slater (NC), Kingsley Uys (TSS) and Owen Begley (BGS).

Cheers,

I feel like if you get it exactly then it should be awarded more… eg BSHS vs NC: and you predict a victory for BSHS +5. And the Score is 15 - 10 BSHS. Then it should be an additional point. Just my opinion.

Sorry my I didn't explain it very well there. When guessing correct margin, you must pick the correct winning team. Therefore, your example would result in an extra point.

1 Point for Winner.
2 Points for Winner as well as guessing within 3 points of actual score margin.
3 Points for Winner as well as guessing correct score margin. E.g. NC win +5 to BSHS (NC- 15, BSHS- 10)

Hey Cyclopath,

Fair call, thanks for stepping in. It’s a good reminder that we all have a part to play in keeping this forum sharp and worth being part of. Definitely a chance to learn and lift the standard moving forward.

I’m sure everyone shares my appreciation of the work you put in, it never goes unnoticed.

Tusi from TGS is another great centre if he plays there. My personal opinion - he would be more useful in the backs.

ATA
Thanks Cyclopath for chipping in,
Now time to talk actual footy and ATA i couldnt agree more, i believe i have already voiced my thoughts of Tusi but ill go again. He is simply a star player and can make something happen from nothing. There is not centre the same size as him and so its a mismatch everyday. But he is simply not fit enough to run around the paddock for 70 minutes taking pod carrys, 10-15 tackles and hitting rucks. Hes not a hard as nails player like forwards used to be and simply would be more valuable for TGS in the backline. On that note how have the centres been playing thus far in the trials for Grammar.

Yea, ill jump in here DS, it seems that Luke Burrows has been playing well as he's kept his spot, but the 13 has changed a few times from Adam Davis and others.

Righto fellas enough's enough.

This forum’s starting to feel less like GPS rugby chat and more like the XXXX tent at the Ekka blokes half drunk, telling tall tales and forgetting why we’re even here.

Let’s park the pub chat for a bit and get back to what matters: the footy. The lads are busting their guts every weekend, and we’re here swapping stubby stories and debating profile pics?

Bit of banter’s good it’s what makes this place great but let’s steer it back to rucks, reps, and real rugby talk. Waterhose off. Footy on.

Cheers,
D.F
Alright then Dale, What's your top 5 locks going into this years GPS season, Wanna know who you feel is going to win and dominate in the lineout, scrums and normal play this season in the row

Cheers

Tusi Played 12 against the Nudgee 16A's last year, and was caught walking 5 minutes in. Bloke did nothing but lose them the game.

Mate, calling Tusi a “star” is like calling a potato a gourmet meal, looks solid, but ultimately brings nothing special. If he can’t run, tackle, or hit rucks for more than five minutes without puffing, he’s not a mismatch, he’s a liability. Its that simple. Save the fairy floss footy for the backs. Tusi belongs in the 2nds.

Jumping in here. These young bucks just need a little time to simmer. Its like cooking a steak, you dont chuck it straight onto the burning hot coals you have to watch it, tend to it and take care of it, we all know that about a good ol' barby. Back to the point, nothing beats a little bit of conditioning, talent like this young star's cant be made in an oven. Its still trial games and Tusi hasn't hit his peak, you have to climb up the mountain to get to the top. Can't wait to see what the TGS coaches do this year, would be keen to see them whipping him into shape for his top performance.

Cheers
