I’ve honestly had enough of the garbage I’ve been reading all morning.

Can we save all that for your Instagram group chats and lunchtime touch footy? I came here to talk actual rugby not drama, not agendas, just footy.

So here’s one for the forum:
Are there any players who were in the 2nds,3rds or even 16Bs last year that we should be watching out for in 2025?
Not the big-name rep stars we all know about, but the under-the-radar blokes. The “nobodies” who might just turn into this season’s breakout player.

Let’s hear some names.

Cheers, D.B
Not really sure about a current one, but it is true that these 'nobodies' might break out. This is shown through James 'Jiggles' White, who played in the 16Bs and Cs last year. He showed hard work and determination, and now he is consistently playing minutes for the GT First XV.

Great. Love the knowledge and opinions your bringing to the table Donald.
Seems like you definitely know your way around the forum, have you got any predictions to the games this weekend?
The one and only HSH
Honestly, I can see any of the teams coming away with the choccies this weekend.

With the games being played at Northgate, BGS might have a slight edge they know the ground well and are used to the conditions there. Ippy have looked sharp across the trials, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they make a real statement. And GT are coming off a massive win over Woomba, so they’ll be riding high on confidence too.

It’s anyone’s game on Saturday should be a cracking watch!

I said this yesterday arvo but i can see this fixture going any way, it will be tight but i can see grammar beting ippy, ippy beating gt and gt beating or drawing with grammar.

Cheers, D.B

My favourite line
"They play for crest, for blood, for kin, For lands where silence teaches win."

I feel as this captures the deep-rooted spirit of TGS rugby — players driven by loyalty to their team, family, and tradition, not ego or spotlight. The final line suggests that true victory is forged in quiet discipline and legacy, where actions, not words, define greatness.

Exactly what I was trying to get across here. I have a deep love for poetry and I hope everyone is fine if I incorporate it into forum discussions.

They have put up good some good perfromaces beating BGS and BSHS in the first 3-way trial and narrowly loosing to a full strength TSS side who look like they'll finish in the top 3.

Cheers, D.B

I wrote a poem about Gregory Terrace in March if anyone is keen for me to release that just found a lot of my old literature… I have a lot of time on the farm, to say the least.

Do we believe forum hill could be resurrected again for the round 9 clash between GT and NC, cracking game expected especially in the last round and be great to talk footy with all the fellow forum members.

Cheers GPS

The Red n Black Rise
For Terrace in their Sesquicentennial Year - By 6.

They laugh when they hear the name—
Terrace.
Once a titan, now a tale.
They speak of mediocrity, of years gone still,
Of boys in red who forgot the will.

Nudgee walks with heavy crown,
Years of thunder, looking down.
Their victories loud, their banners flown,
While Terrace stood, but stood alone.

And Grammar waits atop the hill,
The postcode prize, the bitter thrill.
The clash where pride and postcode meet—
4000 roars beneath our feet.

We’ve been clowned, dismissed, ignored—
Marked by margins on a scoreboard.
But there's fire now where silence sat,
And hearts that thump beneath the hat.

This year, this time, we draw the line—
Not for stats or storyline.
But for brothers past, for boys beside,
For the crest we wear, and the hurt we hide.

We do not beg, we do not boast—
We’ve learned from loss what matters most.
And in this sesquicentennial year,
We rise—not with noise, but with gear.

Let them watch. Let them scoff.
But don’t look away when the red takes off.
For history bends when resolve runs deep—
And the lions of Gregory no longer sleep.
