Hey Guys,
Looking at their trial game against Downlands 1st XV the boys struggled to get an edge on them. I heard the toowoomba boys had an awful game as well. Not sure why this school isn't in the GPS.

When talking about rising stars in GPS footy it's hard to look past the likes of William Reardon AKA Warialda's finest "pig slayer".
Some may recognise William from his nights out at Honky Tonks owning the dance floor, but real William Reardon fans know him from his out of this world 2nd XV season last year. Word on the street is that Will trains at home by folding cattle and passing the milk buckets down the line in the sheds. If he's feeling confident he'll throw a dime of a cutout all the way down to the other paddock. Don't be fooled by his size though. William knows how to tackle. He'll fold your loosehead faster then your mother folds the laundry and he'll send your inside center back to the bench quicker then Teina Graham inhales a big dad's pie on a Saturday afternoon.
Now enough with the jokes, William may have some unique ways of training but this has all lead up to his 2025 1st XV season. If you watch his game day routine you'll see him kiss the poster of Sam Watson in his locker right before running out. His spiral passes this season will lead the boys to back to back premierships this year. Keep a keen eye on this young gun from down south. You might see him on the TV in the few years on Farmer Wants a Wife. He might even be carrying a footy down the isle.

Classic Nudgee boys. City slickers yet try and fit in with the 'country' lifestyle cause their self proclaimed 'best mate' from the boarding house has a chick pea farm just outside Banyo.

Another Bloke to be on the lookout for is queensland 2 u18 teams backrower Olly Sharpe. They call him gerni as he has such great tikka and others may know him as the "Piss Tank".

All TGS forum members... BLOCK YOUR EARS!!!
I was seriously disappointed on the weekend with TGS. They had much more size than GT yet got completely outworked and outplayed. GT were more physical, reminding me of prime David Pocock (2015 Pool game against England). The likes of Hollyman, Nasser, and Iraguha were far too strong for the out of shape Tusi and Rupeni.
After that performance i find it hard to believe TGS will pose any threat in the GPS this year. You might say 'it is just a trial', but no. There backline lacked any spark outside of Rosemond. There flyhalf had a lot to say to the opposition, yet couldn't back it up at all.
Suggestions:
1. Tusi to 12 - sheer size and skill, the kid is a freak. GET HIM THE BALL!!!
2. Elms to 10, Brown to 9 - IDK who the 10 was last weekend but he is not a 1STXV player!
Will be interesting to see how they respond this upcoming saturday. Anyone know who they are versing??

Argh Warialda, ever heard of Cranky Rock? Between Warialda and Inverell on the Gwydir Highway is Cranky Rock. According to local legend, in the late 1800s a Chinese man jumped off Cranky Rock into the creek while being pursued by the local police after murdering a local woman. Cranky Rock is now a popular picnic spot.

Yeah sounds like they have lost alot of ticker after a half decent couple of years. Probably with Tusi being praised and many other player aswell most likely including that 10, they may have become abit of show ponies who can talk but cant back it up anymore. Hope the boys up the hill can switch on and show up.

Couldn't agree more Jacko. Even with the wet weather and sloppy terrain of the GT field, Clifford, Hales, and Dennis outsmarted the entire TGS team with their immense kicking game. If TGS want any chance of a premiership this year they should take some time to work on their kick returns, instead of relying on players such as Rosemond and Tusi to create something out of nothing. Don't get me wrong, both these players have the ability to do so but there seemed like there was no plan B from TGS.
I believe they are playing BSHS this weekend on Mills Oval according to Rugby Xplorer. Should be a good game to watch.

Interesting test for them, from reports most of the Met East side that won the QLD carnival was made up of mostly state high boys and a large group were selcted into the QLD sides. Sounds like they are playing some good footy at the moment anyway. Keen to see if TGS can find their feet and get a win!!
Gaffney should have been the Reds u15 hooker last year. Unfortunately, didn't attend the right school.
it's a shame you don't know him but i guess as a kid from a nontraditional school he has been robbed of selections at higher levels in previous seasons. Selected in the Sunshine Coast 15 team as an u14 kid but missed the tournament due to injury. Absolutely tore the BJRU u15 competition apart last year and is a far superior player to both the hookers selected for the Red u15 last year.I can assure you if he went to a GPS school last year he would have played for the Reds. He will be the Reds u16 hooker this year
Big call, he was part of the selection comp held at Padua. Lots of good hookers in that age group.
Expect him to be in the Reds 16s mix, should get a spot in at least one of the Bris ERC if starting at 1st 15 level.

Hey FFF,
Let me tell ya, this young fella, Nissi Vevesi, he’s the real deal. Born and bred in good old New Zealand, the land of hard yakka and harder hits, and he’s just made his way over to the not so mighty Brisbane Grammar School. And make no mistake, he hasn’t come over for a holiday.
This kid plays like he’s got fire in the boots and steel in the shoulders. Whether he’s charging through the line like a runaway train or putting on a tackle that shakes the ground, he’s running absolute muck out there. Got that tough, fearless edge. Always looking for work, never backs down. The kind of player every team need and every opponent dreads.
He’s not here for selfies or sideline chat he’s here for rucks, runs, and results. Deadset, it’s a joy to watch. If you haven’t seen him play yet, do yourself a favour and get down to a game. You’ll see what I mean.
