Mate it was wet weather footy, I can agree TGS haven’t shown anything special yet, but you can’t hold the Terrace trial against them especially in those horrific conditions. Tusi will stay at 8 and Luke will stay at 12, I also think it’s completely unfair to judge number 10 Cooper brown when ur playing in a mud bath. I think before some codgers in this forum start having a crack at a kid who isn’t even 18 they should give these fellas a chance to prove themselves before round 1. This weekend against state high it’s a chance for TGS to bounce back, first home trial for TGS.
Timmy Mate,
You were in here the other week telling us all how bad some Downlands players were who are the same age as this Cooper Brown fellow and i get it was a mud bath but just talking truth here. 1st XV isnt easy so games like this is where the 10 needs to step up to help lead around the paddock. Havent heard any negatives from the GT 10 who played in the same conditions and sounds like he kicked them into great positions. Obviosuly only early days but i think double standards need to be upheld here. Hopefully he improves for a big State High game this weekend!

Hey FFF,

Let me tell ya, this young fella, Nissi Vevesi, he’s the real deal. Born and bred in good old New Zealand, the land of hard yakka and harder hits, and he’s just made his way over to the not so mighty Brisbane Grammar School. And make no mistake, he hasn’t come over for a holiday.

This kid plays like he’s got fire in the boots and steel in the shoulders. Whether he’s charging through the line like a runaway train or putting on a tackle that shakes the ground, he’s running absolute muck out there. Got that tough, fearless edge. Always looking for work, never backs down. The kind of player every team need and every opponent dreads.

He’s not here for selfies or sideline chat he’s here for rucks, runs, and results. Deadset, it’s a joy to watch. If you haven’t seen him play yet, do yourself a favour and get down to a game. You’ll see what I mean.

Cheers,
An old footy head who knows a gun when he sees one.
Did he play 6 for grammar last weekend?? That kid is a star

What the dribble is going on. These BGS and year 10 GT (slang used by low IQ schoolboys)s are ruining the forum. We do not want Cyclopath to yield a large hammer and ban the GPS forum. Previously in 2024 the lack of Maturity caused the great D-Day ban (for those who remember). I'm sure if you speak to the @The Blin6side he is sick of this immaturity within this forum. So lets stop sprinkling dribble about our mates.
Couldn't have said it better myself QTT. If blokes are here to talk shit about their mates... well then your in the wrong place. Let's get back to the forum of 2024.

Good evening fellow forum members. Any interesting match ups this weekend i should keep my eyes peeled for?

Welcome to the Forum CliffoXXXX,

GT will be taking on BGS and IGS in a threesome on saturday at Gaza (Tennyson's nickname for all of the veteran forum members). BGS look far improved this year, pumping heaps of money into their recruiting. This number 6, i believe his name is Nissi was absolutely fantastic on the weekend. He has all you can ask for. Size, aggression, skill, and a MOTORRRR!!! The matchup between GT and BGS will be fascinating.

IGS vs GT will be a good game too, keen to see how it plays out.

PREDICTIONS:

BGS v IGS - (17-5)
BGS v GT - (7-7)
GT v IGS - (19-7)

Cheers

Gday JJ
Unfortunately, I don't think I remember you from 2024. In fact, upon inspection of your account you joined the forum Thursday at 10:31pm. Someone please ban these sniveling rats trying to worm into the forum, when in reality they are just blokes looking for a laugh by slandering real forum members. However JJ, I trust you are here to talk footy. Any predictions for the weekend ?

JJ
JJ if you dont mind me asking, did you have the same name last year?

Think Gaza has turned into the Wetlands, not so dry and rough anymore I hear.

Indeed MM,
I have heard reports of the abysmal Gaza conditions - initially during cricket season it looked like a dustbowl - however a few forum members and I watched a soccer game recently there and the condition is incredibly muddy. Wonder if Terrace has any plans to tackle this leading into rugby season?

Did anyone catch a glimpse of the 16As game? With the ground being so muddy, it would be so hard being a halfback passing the ball accurately when the balls are very wet and dirty. I heard the GT 16As halfback found it difficult to do so.

ATA
I’ve got to chime in on this one too.

Over the weekend, and mind you it wasn’t even close to the boggy mess that the GT 16As had to wade through, the Nudgee outside backs looked like they’d never seen a rugby ball before let alone caught one. It was honestly as if the ballboys had taken every Gilbert and dunked them in a vat of industrial-grade lube from the Albion Adult Emporium. Slippery doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Meanwhile, Brisbane Grammar and BBC seemed to have no such issues they were handling the pill with far more confidence and control. It does beg the question: is this just a one-off shocker or a genuine area of concern for Nudgee?

Perhaps a few sessions catching pineapples with the 5C cricket lads on Flat 6 might sort it out.

Cheers, D.B

ATA,
Although the tough conditions, halfbacks got to be able to pass well in all conditions. Although gotta feel for the young man.
Just a tough day in the office for him

Nudgee were missing a large portion of their backline
