The Rant

I'm glad all we have to do is replace one or both these players to fix all our scrum woes. But how did you figure out they weren't pushing hard enough?

My orginal point was that I would rather play fardy at lock and bring in another backrower and allow Mowen to play 6. Was challenged about how that would effect the scrum and I don't see how it will. Brumby scrum was good with Fardy and Carter.
I don't think that will 'fix' the scrum. Why do we insist on hiring old aussie props as scrum coaches? Get a pom or a frog - just try something cos we a dismal on technique and tactics.

Fardy has been in our top two performers in the RC. Why are we moving him?

You'll get the same impact at the ruck from him whether he has 6 or 4 on his back. Your point on his form is exactly why I'd rather play him at Lock than Timani.

Now you've hit on the real problem with our scrum.

. Tomane over cummins. Is a big call. Like I said. I would bring in someone like morahan and have Tomane sitting at home And kuindrani can go with him. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) back at outside centre. For cummins.

even after kuindranis performance on the weekend?

And yet apparently Mowen can't play with an 8 on his back, he needs a 6.

(I don't agree that is the reason, that is just what they are saying!)

Kurindrani was bad. Okay. So you didn't watch the game then?
I did. I'm saying he hasn't had one good performance for the wallabies. He wasn't good against the boks.

He had 5 runs and turned the ball over twice.no line breaks or tackle busts.

I wonder if the laser pointers will be brought along this year??

As long as they aren't attached to an Ak47 we should be fine. The addition of laser lights might bring the nightclub vibe some players need to pull off a few dance moves on the field.

http://au.sports.yahoo.com/rugby/news/article/-/19225449/genia-back-as-wallabies-look-to-run/

Genia, who came off the bench in Australia's last two Rugby Championship matches, has relegated Nic White to the reserves for their crunch match in Rosario.
He has been joined there by Waratahs playmaker Bernard Foley, who is in line to make his Test debut after replacing winger Chris Feauai-Sautia in the only changes to the squad.

Wallabies: Israel Folau, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Tevita Kuridrani, Christian Lealiifano, Joe Tomane, Quade Cooper, Nic White, Ben Mowen, Michael Hooper, Scott Fardy, James Horwill (c), Rob Simmons, Ben Alexander, Stephen Moore, James Slipper. Res: Saia Fainga'a, Benn Robinson, Sekope Kepu, Sitaleki Timani, Ben McCalman, Matt To'omua, Bernard Foley.

Did they screw up the team list or the article?
Good point.

I'm guessing the list.

I think if there's a laser pointer in someone's eye they should just award a straight penalty-try. THat would stop the behaviour

Either that or you have 15 Wallabies wondering around in circles holding their hands over their eyes calling, ref, ref....

I can't understand why Link should have both Matt To'omua & Bernard Foley on the bench. I'm not putting down either player, but it just doesn't make sense to me to have two inside backs as reserves.

Links selections are really starting to annoy me. The pack continues to fail and he hasn't changed it. Put Robinson and Timani in. WE have nothing to lose. And why would you select two specialist flyhalves on the bench???????

Any outside back sub can be covered by Foley going to fullback. He's played well there before. Works for me.

Yep, totally don't understand why we have two reserve 5/8 on the bench, especially when you boot the only try scorer from last weekend (CFS) from the team. With Genia selected they have signaled they want more ball in hand, just hope they've remembered how to hold the bloody thing. Last week's handling errors was cringe worthy. I would like to see Timana start over Simmons, but at least rotate them close to half-time so you can bring out from fresh leg mongrel.
