Baxter was always "Scrumface" before the Fuse incident
I have never heard Ben McCalman called Wolfman. He has always been "Big Dog" or "Dogs"
topo,
I got 'wolfman' from a Cam Shephard column in the Perth sunday paper...
Shepherd column: Potential is one thing, converting is another By CAMERON SHEPHERD From: The Sunday Times March 21, 2010 1:16AM 2
?NEXT week I'll celebrate my 26th birthday. Like a lot of people, I tend to reflect about what's happened in recent times as we reminisce about the "good old days".
This got me thinking about the kids - make that the rising stars - of the 2010 Super 14.
There are always plenty of talented kids, but it's another thing to convert that into solid contributions for the senior side.
For the purposes of this column, I'm not going to talk about the established stars such as James O'Connor, Will Genia and Quade Cooper, so let's talk about some names you may be less familiar with.
Here at the Western Force we have 21-year-old flanker Ben McCalman. The new recruit started Week 1 as a reserve, but got his opportunity to start and played 80 minutes in the games against the Hurricanes, Chiefs and Reds.
He's as tough as nails, and his work-rate is outstanding. The man we call Wolfman is part-Matt Hodgson and part-Richard Brown, high praise indeed. On the east coast, Brumbies centre Christian Leali'ifano has gone from a talented prospect in the backline to a real strength.
