If you look at the Spirit squad over the years, despite the whinging this year over the strength of the squad, there has been a huge amount of local club players blooded who have gone onto Super Rugby contracts and done the business over much more favoured teams.
This is EXACTLY what Australian Rugby is lacking and what many of the other NRC aren't suitably doing.

I know there's supposed to be a WA side in the Brisbane Tens next year. I wonder if they should be the Perth Spirit?
