Definitely played AFL and Foxsports reported him signing a contract with Arizona last year I think??

So he is a real person but not sure if his connection to the force is…

He had an NRL training contract at some point too if he's the one I'm thinking of.

Just checked his wiki page. No mention of an NRL training contract though he did attend Palm Beach Corrumbin so it is possible. Was signed by the Cardinals earlier this year but was waived in May. He got a trial and played in the AFL so he'd be a reasonable athlete.

I guess you could question his commitment seeing as he moved on from wanting to make the NFL quite quickly. But it mentions he made the leap of his on fruition so.

What an interesting man.

At 24 he probably needs to settle on a code (and a contract) this year or being a professional has passed him by.

Cracking game at UWA with some big hits being felt up on the hill.
Billy Meakes the only injury concern after being concussed. Will probably miss the game v Eagles. Vasukicakau putting his hand up for a potential Force gig.
Nestor is looking to bring in some of the Force guys in the next couple of games even though the clubbies are doing a solid job at the moment. I think Tessman and Pek Cowan are in contention for the game v Eagles.

Starting debut for Hadleigh May after strong form off the bench. Potential NRC debuts for Nick McLennan and Louis David from Wests Scarborough. After talk of more Force players being brought back in Nestor has gone the other way and brought in more club players. Morahan is a big loss but Manihera Eden is a very promising talent from the Palmyra club.
Huge game with massive finals implications. Can't wait!

Some cool photos of the junior state championships held before the Spirit game yesterday. U/14s U/15s and U/17s played in a North v South (The Swan river is the dividing point) game in the lead up to selection for next years JGS championships.

How would you like to be Onehunga Havilli, in Super 20s he was a winger, he asked to move back to the forwards so he could play 8, and now he is a lock. What a demotion.

Jono Lance out with hamstring and elbow injuries.

Far out. How bad?

Personally, I'd LOVE to see him play the role Foley currently is a for the Wallabies. He's a playmaker that actually brings some starch to the contact zone.

Demotion? Guy is finally being valued and gets to actually do something useful on the field. Everyone knows the smaller the number on your back the better you are, he probably can't wait till he finally gets a shot at the top 3, where the real action is ;)

Right. Time to resurrect this old chestnut. Okay so as well as putting in a strong tilt at going back to back, we also need to build depth and combinations in some positions for the Force in 2018 (if we are still there):

Props:
Vui, Cowan, Daley and Ainsley are all signed on for next year or beyond. Hopefully Faulkner re-signs.

Priority: Develop another THP and another LHP. Can we bring Ollie Hoskins back?

Hooker:
Tessman and Rangi signed on for 2018. Time to give Rangi more game time. I've heard talk that Scoble has been released- disappointing given the age of our other hookers and the fact that Scoble is both a local and has a lot of potential.

Priority: Develop Scoble and Rangi. If Scoble is leaving, have a back-up plan for post 2018

Locks:
Only Richard Arnold signed on at this point. Hopefully the others will also jump on board too.

Priority: More game time for Arnold. Develop another lock or two to be ready for next season or the one after. Where is Riley Winter at? Corey Thomas? Couple of 19 year old locks in the Future Force but I feel like they would be too young- bench maybe.

Flankers/8s:
Massive oversupply of talent. If RHP signs on again, which he should, we would really only be looking at getting an extra openside. Kane Koteka could be the business here so no real worries.

Priority: Strengthen current combinations. Build a bit of depth from the local comp. Get guys like Cottrell and McCalman, who have spent the majority of the time on the sidelines, back up to speed. More game time for Onehunga Havili

Scrumhalves:
Ruru here next year. Re-sign one of Prior and Louwrens (or both!). Starting thinking about the future.

Priority: Build depth. Get Angus Taylor into the starting role a few times.

Fly-half:
Lance is here next year but Burton is gone and Peter Grant might not be here. Definitely need depth behind Lance as he is injury prone.

Priority: Depth. Rest Lance for the whole comp (unless he is with the Wallabies) and get other guys in his place. Prior if he wants to stay. Maybe bring Jooste back. Maybe look at a handful of the Aussie 10s overseas. Nuade Wessels?

Centres:
Meakes and Rona both on deck for next year but very little depth behind them.

Priority: Build depth. Robbie Coleman is an option but it would be great to have another.

Outside backs:
Re-sign Newsome! Partnered with Peni and DHP, we have a fairly good back 3. No depth though.

Priority: Build depth. Need back up for DHP (Clay Uyen from the U20s?) and it would be great to have another strike winger. Where is Brad Lacey at?

My first NRC side:

1. Mees Erasmus
2. Anaru Rangi
3. Sham Vui
4. Onehunga Havili
5. Richie Arnold
6. Angus Cottrell
7. Kane Koteka
8. Ben McCalman
9. Angus Taylor
10. Nuade Wessels (or other 10 as above)
11. Brendan Owen
12. Jordan Holgate
13. Curtis Rona
14. Cameron Ritchie
15. Clay Uyen

16. Scoble (Tessman if Scoble has left)
17. Local comp loosehead
18. Jermaine Ainsley (Beau King?)
19. Ben Grant
20. Auega Seumanutafa
21. Michael Ruru (or Louwrens when fit again).
22. Robbie Coleman
23. James Verity-Amm (if he re-signs)
