^ I actually like that he's a prick & can live with him being an occasional grub on the grounds that he's only an occasional grub as opposed to a flat-out grub. Gives him an old-school vibe, a bit like Cowboy or Higgers (ours, not the Aussie, obviously:)).

Rayasi bumping off Nehe on the way to the line was a great reminder of NZ’s great ability to produce incredible wingers and replace them every 2 years. Rayasi was actually wearing Nehe’s old jersey too, Nehe's face was priceless.

Yep WOB, as you say he's an annoying prick, but he's our annoying prick. And like you , it doesn't bother me as he seems to do it with a smile, you know like teasing a mate or something.

Loss Bleus women taking a pasting from Tribe women & standard not too bad considering pretty much all of them have day jobs & are scattered across their respective catchments so have had limited prep time together.

Edit: looks like a beautiful evening in the Auck with main game not too far away.

I've no idea who most these Chiefs players are so you'd expect the early season Blues would beat this B (C?) team comfortably. Can't confidently say the same for this late season side, unfortunately .

So they enunciated on the story with Tele'a from last week. Sounds like the match doctor from last week needs to be removed from the role.

'Yeah mate, you see he spent too long catching his breath so obviously has a concussion. I've watched House MD so I know these things'.

Not held initially & when he was surely he's entitled to place the ball on the line? Interested to know more about this "double movement" Law, too.

Edit: referring to the "held, double movement" call.

Best I can see/guess is that Heem had a hand on his shorts when the winger gets up and carries on without first releasing the ball, as he would still, technically, be held. But wasn't really clear and obvious IMO.

^ which would be "held, not releasing" & that I could live with even if not clear & obvious but "held, double movement" just makes no sense.

Captain challenge for the knock-on form the terrible pass.

EDIT: Huh, they actually did it.

EDIT II: lol what a shit show. The whole concept is terrible.

This is getting silly. If there's no knock-on how can Stevenson be offside? And why wouldn't you come back to any of the Tribe's multiple penalty ads, all of which pre-date the supposed (Edit) offside?

FFS that was wrong on so many cases!! I hate these ref challenges, along with almost all these so called experimental rules!

All their advantages were post The Incident.

Match clock 32:28: Chiefs lineout
32:45: Chiefs maul is going nowhere, is released by Chiefs halfback
32:49: Chiefs breakdown, no penalty
32:53: Chiefs breakdown, ~6m out, no penalty
32:58: Chiefs breakdown, ~4m out, no penalty
33:04: Chiefs breakdown, ~2m out, no penalty
33:09: Chiefs breakdown, ~3m out, no penalty
33:15: Chiefs breakdown, <1m out, no penalty (Wainui's attempt)
33:18: That shocker of a pass from the breakdown
33:21: The Incident
33:30: Chiefs breakdown, ~5m out, penalty advantage against Blues
33:44: Chiefs breakdown, ~5m out, penalty advantage against Blues
33:58: Chiefs try and Blues referral

FWIW I think it was a knock-on but to then penalise Stevenson is just wrong: players pick up the ball in technically offside positions all the time without it getting called. Ref should've gone back to the most recently-called Tribe advantage.

Edit: could've sworn Ref signalled advantage Tribe at least twice pre- "The Incident" but will defer to Our Learned Friend zer0's timeline above.

Rieko actually passed the ball. Guess he's hit his quota for the month nice and early.

Jeez it's absolute night and day between the box kicking of Nock and Christie/Ruru.

Pretty sure that last pass was forward..... Just hurry up and attempt a conversion.

EDIT: Great offload from Sotutu, though. Some good play from him and Akira in the build up too. They work very well together.
