Nice try assist from Rieko. I get what zer0's saying but every now & then he does such good work you've gotta think the dumb shit can be coached out & he could be a Test-quality 13.

Edit: 'canes should be done now, Loss Bleus need to close this out if they're serious about winning a title.

Where’s that absolute cannonball of a hooker that I think plays for the Hurricanes?

Aumua has a busted arm/shoulder. I think he should be back soon. Hopefully he'll be back next week to punch some holes in the Crusaders.....

Blues D a bright spot I suppose

Perofuture went well again. Solid core duties and the spark for a try

Poor Jules into the open field and couldnt get it out of 3rd gear with the entire width of the park at his mercy

God knows how Proctor gets starts ahead of P Umaga Jensen

Ruru better, maybe got the word not to faff around at the back of the ruck

NZ need to get converting your endless supply of world class rakes into props. Funny considering your huge quality at hooker yet you've capped the Pillsbury mascots Lomax & Ta'avao.

I like to think MacDonald has a SAS caliber sniper parked on the grassy knoll of Mt Eden and sends Ruru on saying "look here you diamond cutting cheeked c*nt, if that ball is available for more than 3/5ths of a nanosecond before you pass it, then, with God, Allah, the Evil Wizard Mortlock, and Richie McCaw himself as my witnesses', we will fucken end you right then and there. Now go give 'em hell slugger".

Geez I don't think Blues really had to use their 'D' too much. Shit the Canes were the worst of 2 bloody poor teams.

It's really just old man Coles, Taylor, and Aumua. At least that I can think of. Have never been much of a fan of Ta'avao and don't think we'll see him in black again. Lomax hasn't consistently performed at Super Rugby (as far as I've seen) but might squeak into the test team on 'potential'. Most of the All Black props -- indeed, forwards -- should be from the Blues and Crusaders.

EDIT: Actually Taukei'aho at the Chiefs looks to be going alright too.

The Blues the second half was better when things were simplified. Am hoping the Blues go back to the basic rugby they successfully played last year in the first half of SRA (and Super Rugby prior).

We have the ball. Awesome. Are we within 40m of our goal line?
Yes. Fucken kick that shit outta here.
No. Right, lets get these big c*nts in the forwards charging at the opposition.

Leave the Globetrotter theatrics for the dandy southrons.

Well just about end of easter and I know the Canes game was bloody disappointing on Saturday, but have decided may of been harder to watch because I had just got home after club rugby so maybe I was expecting more? But I can tell you it's great going to club stuff again, especially as there was a club up the road in Stratfod played Friday, and my local club played Saturday. So a good weekend regrdless of results at super level. I mean watching real stuff. actually talking to a whole lot of real rugby people (good crowds at both days) and a quite beer or two in clubrooms. I love this game:).

Major rumblings in the Auck NPC setup: apparently Filo Tiatia has quit his AC role & numerous players inc Sotutu, Ofa, Clarke, Akira & Gibson either actively talking to other Unions or contemplating doing so.

NZHurld article is headed "Auckland rugby revolt" if zer0 or anyone else is cleverer than me & knows how to side-step their paywall :)

If it's the same article I read last night it doesn't say much. But if you want to brave NewsTalk, then they have an audio of the interview with the journalist. As per him, seems there's a split between players and coach(es) which has been there since 2018 or so. No idea how they've ended up being second only to Tasman over the last few years with that chaotic backend.

Might not bode well for Ieremia's Super Rugby/Moana Pasifika coaching aspirations.

EDIT: The NewsTalk link with the interview:

Bit of Bumbreeze-style player power?

Maybe after Tiatia and Ieremia get pitchforked out of town, Auckland can bring in..... Gregan and Larkham. Old skool player power versus new skool player power.

"That's not player power! THIS is player power!"
"No it's not, THIS is player power!"
