Nz domestic rugby 2020

Brumby Runner

Jason Little (69)
Smith might rightly be called the best No 9 in rugby, but is there a chink in his skillset? His passing right to left is bullet like but the other way he seems to take 2 - 3 steps before releasing the ball.

Two flankers down so the Blues are stuck fielding four locks? Jeez that's a mix-maxed power pack, but could get dangerous if the Highlanders are able to survive the scrums and move the ball around.....

Great defence by Blues, thought Akira had his best game, PT and Ofa T were bloody great.

Now we just need the Highlanders to fart out an anomalous result against the Crusaders -- just like they did against the Brumbies earlier this year -- and then we'll knock the bastards off at the de facto final in Auckland in front of a full house.

Just watching the round up and still get amused when I see Cullen as commentator , anyone who knew him when he first came onto the scene will tell you what a shy quiet bugger he was, if he spoke and more than 2 people looked at him he just blushed and lost his voice almost1

He was probably trying to let his breath catch up to him having lost it scorching the earth and neighbouring planets with his preternatural rugby footballing ability

Son marked him at senior rugby in the Nua DP, he still reckons he got something ghostlike about him, swears went he went in and hit him at knee level, his body turned to liquid or something because as he closed his arm there was nothing there.

A. Smith has a similar undesirable trait to Genia where they think they're so fucking talented and clearly the best player on the pitch that they're above rucking. Instead they'll just scream and flap their arms as the ball is lost right in front of them.

That was probably the best performance of the season from the Blues all things considered.

4th game in a row since the last bye, Gordon Hunter trophy on the line, never won under the roof, some late injuries causing disruption, against a team off the bye and they get a bonus point win.

Akira simply outstanding, other big Blues forwards outstanding (Ofa, Big Karl, Patty T) and Caleb Clarke the most dangerous wing in the country.

With it looking increasingly likely that there will be no quarantine-free trans-Tasman travel until at least part-way through next year, and the consensus being that a five-team SRAo isn't sustainable, what do people think should replace it for 2021? Extended Mitre 10 Cup or expanded SRAo (& if the latter how many additional teams & where based)? Should the scheduling be such that there's room for Champions League-type fixtures v our Aussie mates (travel restrictions permitting) before the International season?

You are pulling our legs aren't you BR, I have never seen a better left to right pass , I don't know of anyone who comes even close, and he does it when running at full pace! Certainly noone who has played Super rugby in the last 5-10 years.
