The Rep Season is not too far off.

ISA have announced their squad.
CCC have just finished their trials.
CHS are in the middle of their trials.
ISA Div 2 & CAS Schools are at round 4.
ISA Div 1 starts this weekend.
AAGPS are putting the final touches on their squads in preparation for round 1 next week.
CCC vs CHS I and CHSII vs AICES next Sunday (2 June)
CAS vs CHS (I and II) Thursday week (6 June)
Cnty Schools Selection Trials at Armidale 8/9 June.

To get some discussion going here is a list of the 2012 NSW I and II team lists (and their 2012 jumper numbers) with who I think have left school excluded. I do not profess to have total knowledge of who is back, or who left, so may have got some of these wrong.

These boys would have to be looking good to be named again, with those with jumper numbers >15 looking for jumpers < 15 this time around.

any predictions for the weekend ?

Plenty of predictions and banter on the ISA 2013, CAS 2013 and GPS 2013 threads.

This thread is more for discussing the representative programmes leading up to the Selection of the NSW Schools team for the National Champs.

HJ - this looks like a wallaby selection: Kellaway is playing 10 at school and played 15 last year so you pick him on the wing?
Harry Jones is playing fullback I hear.

As kids mature and change shapes physically, positions change.

By all accounts Kellaway is "ripping it up" at #10 for Scots.

Rep Selectors do not always select players for the same positions that they play for at their Schools. As above Milne was selected as an 11 for NSW I last year while NEW use him closer in to the action. Jim Stewart was the preferred #13 for NSW last year, keeping Milne away from his preferred position.

Once you start promoting the 2012 bench players and the 2012 NSW II to a probable NSW I 2013 team, there aren't too many slots left for the "smokies". The backline seems to be full already.

Charlie Taylor is out for the season. Hurt himself in trial game. Sea Eagle's as you'd expect pissed as he was playing 20s. Eddie unless he did pathways should have finished last year as he was in Yr8 in 2008. Ex Bally Boy new Auggies student Aisea Tukipili a possible.

Given he has been selected in the ISA squad, I would expect Taylor intends to play in these trials at the very least?

Hugh Jarse

Rocky Elsom (76)
Oh well, if Taylor is fit then revert to the team posted at #6 as the default starting team selection.

If there is a chance of Aust Schoolboy selection and a UK tour, then that is a powerful incentive to expedite the rehab process.

Not True at all, Have been told Charlie Taylor Is back shortly. Was told he made NSW Schoolboys in League, playing for a Spot for the Australian Schoolboys in Cains soon and Is getting the Ticks by the Selectors for NSW U18s State of Origin. Back playing for Sea Eagles in 2 weeks. I am sure this Talented Kid can Manage Everything ! Maybe Auggies might rest him for the 'Easy Games'. Lol.

Weak as the proverbial..

Now that is too much rain.

Actually, I'd argue the CHS field at Coffs was wetter than this - risk of drowning at he bottom of the maul...

I recall a photo in the Herald of a match at Chatswood oval 1984 with the ball boy and touch judge knee deep in water it may have been the only game played in Sydney that week end
