BEST OF LUCK TO ALL THE BOYS. HOPE THEY PICK BASED ON FORM TO REPRESENT OUR STATE!

Will NSW Schools selectors reward performance or reputations?!
Comedy gold, what do you think. Reputation and daddy play a huge role in rugby selection, always have, always will.
Unfortunately.
ISA had the best individual talent out there, watch them get blanked.
Too much focus these days (at all levels) on “impact” players. I want my workhorses with a good mix of size/speed/skill over the star who does three runs a game and wouldn’t know what hitting a ruck meant.

Agreed. ISA looked to have the best talent. Seems as though some GPS lads did not turn up. Will be surprised whether they pick based on names/reputation or pure performance, either way expecting to see some robberies with selections. Praise to the ISA lads who had to play formidable opponents on the same day. Good luck on those selected, do the state proud boys!

GPS 1 completely one dimensional tonight.

Sacrificed the scrums and line outs with 3 identical power runners who didn’t do much but get in the way of the backline. Grover, Dempsey good games, but the backline from 10-15 hopeless with a bunch of big blokes constantly getting in each others and everyone else’s way.

Some moments, but they looked like a team of individual stars many of whom offered the same ball running game style, who had literally never played together and certainly weren’t playing for each other.

We also didn’t need a pick off every fucking scrum leaving it to be monstered. Just bad coaching.

GPS selectors and coaches failed, really disappointing. Maybe next year we don’t need three 6s who can’t jump or scrummage and we maybe have a combination or two in the back line to bring some cohesion to the rabble.

Congrats to CAS for playing like a team 1-15, who did have some rub of the green from the ref, but well and truly did the business.

Going to be hard to watch these last two games.
The lights at Forshaw are definitely not broadcast quality.

GPS3 lead CCC 14-8

And that's the final score.. CCC with a few line breaks in the last 20 but couldn't get over the line
Almost impossible to see on tv so gave up. Should play at somewhere like Drummoyne Oval which is more central and has lights for first class cricket day nighters.

Yeah the venue was shit.
Not to mention the commentator he seemed to know the names of all the CAS players. It was "GPS running right through the middle but is met with a strong line of defense in Smith and Finegan" haha I'm making it up but listen to the commentator he only knew the likes of Lemoto, Makasini etc but he knew 98% of the CAS players. Every other players he referred to as 'GPS player'. Is it because they regularly cover CAS games? Anyway, last night ALL CAS PLAYERS DESERVED TO BE NAMED!

Is there an actual list of PONI players?
Have a look at this pic and you'll be able to sort of work out who has been selected to PONI from NSW.
Not the best quality. I'm guessing maybe Gough got picked as well since he has not been named in any of the School sides

100% the PONI rubbish is what is killing our game, kids getting selected based on what they did when they were 13/14 and bigger and stronger than everyone else, no one and absolutely no one should be given a rails run into any rep team. I dont care if Grover or Taumoepeau are the greatest players on the planet if they don't perform or are outplayed by other kids they dont get picked. If you've signed with NRL or aren't planning on staying in Australia you dont get picked. I'm sick of seeing really good kids getting overlooked for a kid that was awesome at 14!

Nice to see Brock Prideaux there in NSW 1sts. I've seen him play three times this year and he's scored two tries each time. Pace, strength, balance and an eye for a gap.
