15As Shore/Joeys 19 all draw - cracking game. Shore beat Joeys in there last encounter in 14As. Shore 15As had 10 all draw with Scots last weekend as well. Great effort from team decimated by injury - very strong age group for shore

Grammar were awful but TAS have a biggish mobile tight five and some pace out wide.
Grammar very weak in broken play defence. 1st receiver guilty of just shovelling the ball and not taking the line on.

35-0 is a big score, but Grammar had injuries and may have been tired from the trip. Yes, I know TAS does the long bus trip far more, but it can be a factor.

If we look at the Joeys v Grammar score and the earlier TAS v SBHS school result, TAS is clearly competitive this year. How competitive has to be determined by later games, for it could range from dominant to just getting by! That's why these early stages are always so interesting.

Joeys 33-10

Game called early as Joeys boy was down and required stretcher attention.
Shore has an earlier boy break a collar bone I believe.

31-13 win to Kings!!!

A well deserved win Azzuri.
In many aspects of the game the 2 teams were evenly matched.
Where Kings were vastly superior was in taking their chances and in their kicking.
Scots kicked away more possession today than they have in either of the last 2 seasons. Brian Smith needs to remind the boys that you can't win without the ball. They failed to find touch with at least 3 penalty kicks!
Kings are definitely in the hunt this year.
If they can fend off a competitive Joeys next week there is a tantalising clash with Riverview in round 4.
They have some very handy players who will be vying for higher honours.

I tried a Shore pie today after all the fuss and even with high expectations, it rocked my world. Best pie ever!! Need to run a few extra km's tomorrow. I will pass my regards to the Shore mum responsible- I don't think she is aware of the chatter about her pies. Thanks for the tip Azzuri.

Jim they are always a different proposition up there but I am still seething at some of the schoolboy errors - oh hold on, they are schoolboys.
Ive been told its just a game, too.

I hear a dislocated hip and not head/neck - always good to know when not there.
And well done Kings, game on next week Manzurri!

Thanks @RM2. BTW I've commissioned the local Kazakstani tailor to whip me up special sky blue and white Lycra and mohair mankini's for the Kings Fathers Cheersquad.

Excellent stuff @HFTH. You showed remarkable restraint eating just one!
