rickety knees
Allen Oxlade (6)
Interestingly he is from the same group that has produced Sam Carter ex TKS, Angus McCleland TKS and Nick Stace Shore.
Re above, the recent thumping by New suggests otherwise. All these players were together in 15s and didn't make much difference and that included Hutchison. Problems are with the forwards not backs.
1880 Newington College is established
True, but it's the only game that Newington 16As have won. Most of their losses have been big.Would not call 20-8 a thumping, was a closer game than most would suggest
Dear Rawsteak. Can I let you in on a little secret? In Australia and Rugby Union particularly, we have Man Of The Match (MOTM) not some seppo hyped MVP, whatever that is. Please amend your ways Sir before we have the World Series

Newington also won the first rd clash at View 12-7; no doubt they were looking forward to rd 2 to notch up their second win.
The ‘Wesleyan Collegiate Institution’ was established at Newington House at Silverwater..... Source Newington College Website.
Founded in 1863 and moved to its current site in 1881.
Thanks guys, keep this sort of info coming, a lot of people still like to catch a game or two of the "full comp".
Good planning, two games in one trip, Weigall at noon and Bellevue hill at 3.15.
Which is why I don't use wikipaedia.excellent Quick Hands but I suspect that the contributors to Wikipedia have inadvertently taken convenient versions rather than looking at the archives available. There is conjecture that Newington College actually started in 1880 with the first students taken from the ‘Wesleyan Collegiate Institution'. The intent of the Wesleyan Collegiate Institution being what is important when they started their school. The name Newington was taken from the building/house name that the Wesleyan Collegiate Institution occupied. [please remember like most of history many of the 'facts' are open to interpretation, i have used research and publications from 1950-60s rather than the more convenient history written in this century].
