Did you watch yourself ? Or are you reliant on info from Scots people ? Not a dig, just interested...

Mark Baldwin (7) and Finlay McDonald (10) did not play against Scots. They lost their hooker in the first half to injury. And they had an off day - far better for the "reality check" to come in a trial than in a comp game.

The New forward pack are hurting this week. Scots are the first team to get on top of them since Kings in the trials last year. They won't play two bad games in a row and the forward clash with View will be one for the ages.

If the New pack do the business then the New backs will win the game. Too much class and experience in Roye, Roods and Vlahos and youthful genius in Lussick.

Thanks for the info on the Gold teams and the links. So it is just a rejig of the old NTS system warts and all. But we shouldn't discuss this here and use the NTS thread instead as it can get emotional talking about it in other threads.

Pretty sure Baldwin didn't play against Scots, he had a bad back apparently. I don't think it would have changed the result in their favour but Baldwin is probably the best play in the New side IMO. He is very strong over the ball and a great defender - Muffinman your talking $#ite again.

Bad back was a pretty good dodge for the head to head against Walters! Was looking forward to that. Oh well injuries can't be helped. I'm sure Baldwin wanted to secure that 1st spot.

Haven't seen it but why is it shameful? Did one of your mates get smashed on there on something?

I don't think it is shameful, it was obviously made for the View boys in year 12, potentially as part of a school project. They havent even released it on youtube...

They're very even. Walters is more over the ball than Baldwin but Baldwin has better all round ball skills. Walters appears shorter and with a heavy weights development. But hey, Baldwin doesn't look like he's gone missing from the gym either. He does have different hair though.

I dont think i saw one late hit in there mate, yes there were possibly only 2 that i saw of hits, but they werent late fully legal, may be poor sportsman ship going out after one player, but youngest player on the field, your obviously going to be running around with a target on your head. But to be credited the 10, got up dusted himself off and kept playing good footy

As Tiger said Muffin - none of the hits were late or illegal. If they were the referee would have penalised them. Deegan is a good player but he takes too long on the ball. Against a good backrow you don't get that time... As the View boys showed if you hold the ball expect to get belted! Could be a similar scenario for Lussick this weekend...

Also interested if anyone can name a shore line up, so far i've heard nothing or the team except for the fact that their hooker is small?, Merriman is going solidly and their 13 is decent ???
