NSW AAGPS 2025

View-Den

Sadly, I couldn't make it down to the View game on the weekend, but I heard that the 2's played pretty well with some young guns really standing up to the occasion. Anyone with more insights on the game or the one's please feel free to share.

Does anyone have any insight into what various schools are planning for their training setups over the upcoming school holidays?

More specifically, has there been any word on teams lining up a session or two with the legendary Sandhill Warrior? With the 'footy camp' period approaching, I imagine some squads might be locking that in.

I know the GPS boys, in particular, are often keen for a run with Rob early in the season...

Yours truly... Twister.

talking about Rob…..

Kings Rugby Club Luncheon
Friday 16th May

“This year we welcome King’s legend and stalwart, Rob Rowland-Smith, AKA the Sandhill Warrior, as our Master of Ceremonies. Rob is one of the finest fitness and motivational coaches in the world and is sure to bring the energy!

We are also delighted to welcome back the Australian National Coach of the Wallabies, Joe Schmidt, to discuss the last 12 months and what he plans for the Lion’s test series just ahead.

The Warrior & Joe will be joined on stage by our very own Jimmy Hilgendorf, coach of the TKS 1st XV.

This is a unique opportunity to hear about leadership, culture, the Wallabies and the Lions test directly from Joe, in a way that is sure to be an energetic and inspiring experience.”

Many injuries and players away which is preventing this team from performing at their full capacity, as displayed on Saturday. Hopefully, this new combination gives them more luck. P.S. (I will be doing pre-game reviews again this season)

Don't shout, W.

Wow, big news out of the Shore camp. Cowdery (Shore 3XV Premiership Winner 2024), started the day leading the mighty 3s as skip, now lacing up for his 1st XV debut. It's a huge step up clearly someone at the top noticed they needed some grunt in the engine room.

Must be looking to patch up the scrum after Saturday's pack looked more like they were pushing a shopping trolley than a scrum sled.

Cowdery’s built low to the ground like a stump grinder can imagine him driving through the hips with some great force. Hoping this is the turning point for the boys up front. Pack it in tight, and let the big fella eat!

These trial matches are always an weird indicator of how teams are travelling. Anyone know what the score was between View and Augs 1XV?

Fantastic points @MaulMasterMind. For those that missed it on the weekend, Cowdery was pretty fearsome in the 3rd XV game. From the sidelines, I got shivers every time I saw a poor Waverly boy attempt to get through young Edward, and I certainly grimaced every time I saw them bounce off his mighty belly like a drunk moth hitting a street lamp. Excited to see how he performs come Friday, not only in the scrums, but particularly 5 - 10m out from the paint. I think a well targeted pick-and-drive can guarantee some meaties.

Following this monumental shift in the ranks, one can only speculate about the 3rd XV lineup for this Friday. My thoughts are as follows:
1. Sheridan
2. Yates
3. Morrow
4. Parris (c)
5. Longes
6. Squire
7. Fulton
8. Mackellar
9. Cockle
10. Glasson
11. Wagstaff
12. Browny
13. Shirley
14. Shoemark
15. Kierse

Apologies for any misspellings, my information is purely from verbal interview.

Cannot wait for Shore to tuck her into bed this Friday.

More to come

Any news on Warner? Winger for the 2s against Waverly, due to injuries. Would he not be in the 3s this week?
