They do tend to give the nod to yr12s. Osbourne is definitely deservingI think Lavercombe would be in but if Osborne in yr 12 he may get the spot over Bloomfield (yr11) if that is the way that they select
No Callum Grantham (N) at 15 should be considered a criminal offence of the highest nature.Final GPS 1s prediction from the seargent:

Yes he has been very consistent for a long time nowThey do tend to give the nod to yr12s. Osbourne is definitely deserving

4. Fonua (K)
5. Muir (N)
6. Taumoepeau (J)

15. Grantham (N) - Callaghan (E)
I believe every position is pretty much cemented, bit of toss up between 10, 13 and 15. I have put Simmons in but I believe Dempsey is electric and may be fundamentally better than him, will be interesting to see selections and games this weekend.
Thoughts, would be suprised if I missed any.

I would agree. Hist last year was far better than this year. More incisive.I like him as a kid and player, know him from the junior club rugby days, but surprised at the ongoing selection of Gough. I know he was in last year so would be expected this year but, against two fairly inoffensive Kings backlines last year and this, I have not seen him do much at all to warrant unanimous selection. Maybe they're his bogey team and he puts on a show against others? Shame Risati and Bass unavailable - could have been a pretty special backline this year (albeit nearly all leaguies across Bass, Makasini, Callaghan, Grantham, Risati, Large x2). Blow you apart anywhere across the park.
high calibre rugby player no doubt. But the explosiveness of Callaghan would just add constant attacking danger in a strong GPS backline. He's played unbelievably this season with a less than ideal supporting cast...No Callum Grantham (N) at 15 should be considered a criminal offence of the highest nature.
Full strength good to see. It’s payback time for Round 1 at Home. Who wouldn’t back them?
Kings much?My Final Predictions for the GPS First XV:
1. Lavercombe (K)
2. Smith (K)
3. Bloomfield (K)
4. Fonua (K)
5. Muir (N)
6. Taumoepeau (J)
7. Simmons (N) - Dempsey (I)
8. Lemoto (S)
9. Grover (I)
10. Callaghan (E) - Taylor (K) - Antielea-Tsioussis (N)
11. Folkes (I)
12. Gough (J)
13. O'Conner (J) - Sloane (N) - Scarr (I)

Joeys v ShoreIt’s Friday. Is there a Joeys line up out there?
As much as I like seeing that you have picked the 3 front rowers from Kings to play together in one team. I don't think its a good thing, not good for their "individual performance"? I would like to see them split up. I would like to see how they play with other players, other front rowers. I would like to see #1 & #3 split up. Its good for their individual game in my opinion. Kings front rowers are comfortable playing next to each other. I want to see how they perform with either a different TH or LH. Its good to win, but I'm sure the coaches will be more interested in seeing individual performance and how play/fit in a different team with new players. Just my 1 cent worth. My Final Predictions for the GPS First XV:
1. Lavercombe (K)
2. Smith (K)
3. Bloomfield (K)
4. Fonua (K)
5. Muir (N)
6. Taumoepeau (J)
7. Simmons (N) - Dempsey (I)
8. Lemoto (S)
9. Grover (I)
10. Callaghan (E) - Taylor (K) - Antielea-Tsioussis (N)
11. Folkes (I)

Although medically cleared for this round, I believe he is waiting until after the break to double down on a healed injury. I also don’t know if his league commitments will clash with this…Any news on if Bassingthwaighte is returning for SHORE this weekend against Joeys at heavens pasture.
Rumours were that his return was estimated to be in Round 6.
If so, is 1 game enough to justify his selection in GPS 1s side
