I know in the u16's a number of kids have decided to go down the country pathway in hopes of making the Tahs u16 team. As was pointed out in the correspondence from Country management there are only 46 players selected to play in the regional tournament against the two Sydney teams and the NSWJRU Barbarians in Camden. So, the country kids have a 50% chance by position of making the final 23. Whereas there are 8 teams competing in schools carnival next weekend to make the 2 x NSW schools' sides that will play Sydney & Country, so there are roughly 184 kids competing for 46 positions. It should be noted that over the last 10 years 70% of the NSW schools' players have come from the GPS/CAS schools. From my experience with my own child + his mates a lot of the country kids are choosing to remain at their local school and not go to a Sydney or Brisbane boarding school because the country pathway now leads to the same destination as what the GPS/CAS kids get. The boys get to stay home and play for their clubs.
I think that's a great thing. It's one of the best moves they ever made to include SJRU and the Country Clubs into the school pathway.

AAGPS Teams Announced: The selected teams will be published on the AAGPS Website by approximately 8:00 p.m.

GPS 1st XV 2025 - to come

GPS 2nd XV 2025 - to come

GPS 3rd XV White 2025 - to come

Presidents 16As 2025 - to come

Presidents 16Bs 2025 - to come

For those boys eligible for any of the Rep squads listed above, best of luck but please remember it’s not the ‘end of the world’ if you happen to miss out.

Selectors don’t always get it right. It could also be hard to differentiate 1,2 or 3 players for the same position.

Sure it hurts but with a bit of resilience, keep playing great footy with your mates whilst representing your School and enjoy all those battles win or lose.

We have seen consistently seen the opinions on the GPS 1st XV, be interested to see the opinions on the 2nd & 3rd XV‘S for the schools tournament, this will show the true the true followers of the competition, not just the punters who know the big names and the reputational selections!

TIPPING UPDATE.
ALL is welcome for this round

The tipping team have put their collective heads together and decided they will only be taking tips made on the AAGPS 1st XV
Normally in the past we covered four teams but with at least nine games this was going to be a mess.
So we have decided ONE team with THREE GAMES only.

Ace has made up a nice additional table for this round with everyone welcome.
Tips are of course important for the competition players but those who want to have a lash, here is your opportunity.

NOTE: TWO games play on Thursday at Stirling Bridge (TIMES below)
Friday game is at Forshaw Park and is at night. (rug up)

Just out, Lemoto (S) and Makasini (N) are both on the final team lists for the u19 State of Origin. However, Lemoto sits in the bench at no16, Makasini is listed as 18th man.

Hopefully they get a run, will be thrilling to watch.

You’ve got the wrong Lemoto.

Thats Hakofanu Lemoto who is playing. Makasini is the 18th man yes.

Congratulations to old boy Rodwell (N) who gets the nod for NSW in the 6 slot.
