NSW AAGPS 2025 (banter and commentary)

Here for the advice

Herbert Moran (7)
Hopefully all the league lads opt in to the representative sides. It would be incredible to see the combined squad at full strength.
Agreed but if they cannot best of luck - if someone has a pathway to paid sport well done to them. The ARU has not kept Pace with professionalism. Let’s hope they work if out soon. Also if the year 10 kid is up to it make it happen !!!!

Don’t think that is correct. Not sure where you have ‘seen’ these rumours.

Ps I don’t think Clout can actually get injured, he just gets back up.

I think someone a few pages back got their wires crossed. A previous post said "Shore have 8 out" and someone misconstrued as saying the Shore No.8 was out when it actually meant Shore has 8 1st XV worthy players on the sidelines.

I will have to give this some thought

WARNING. BANTER ALERT

The Battle of the Handbags is currently with my editor and legal team to make sure I don't end up in court.
Here is a sneak peak of the cover

I have been on this forum for quite a while now, and I have had enough. The tireless subtle digs at scots have gotten out of hand, especially from the people who are supposed to be the so called "moderators". Now I know, we all love a little banter towards the boys of the east. However, I do also like to ask the question on why particularly the boys in Bellevue hill? Is it because they have castle? In that case I suggest people start making comments about the architecture of st Josephs, direct representation from a medieval castle. Kings, a school with so much land, they have their own post code. Riverview, a place where some students take their own boats to school. Newington and Shore, constantly renovating their school to have state of the art facilities. All I am saying is, it's not just the boys on the hill with their " Handbags" and I hope this is considered when making comments about them.

Scots College is to me the Manly of the AAGPS....the team that everyone likes to poke fun at.
The handbag story is all about when Cranbrook beat Scots College in a massive boil over.
I got the title from former Wallaby Dean Mumm when I told him about the game.
"Wow, the battle of the handbags" was his reply.

Since you find and others find the post so triggering I have removed it.

In regards to BANTER, please note I give clear alerts and even include a definition in my signature.
Maybe you could ask @Balmain Subbies and @Rob hart how they have been able to tease Joeys.
They do it really well. As someone who has been through the rough and tumble of life, I have a thick skin and a sense of humour.

Lets hope the Scots Prep staff are toughening up the boys at Mansion Rd.

Could not agree more. It has been going on for years. If it is directed at other schools it is considered Too far, but when directed at SCOTS it is titled 'banter'.

My Final Predictions for the GPS First XV:

1. Lavercombe (K)
2. Smith (K)
3. Bloomfield (K)
4. Fonua (K)
5. Muir (N)
6. Taumoepeau (J)
7. Simmons (N) - Dempsey (I)
8. Lemoto (S)
9. Grover (I)
10. Callaghan (E) - Taylor (K) - Antielea-Tsioussis (N)
11. Folkes (I)
12. Gough (J)
13. O'Conner (J) - Sloane (N) - Scarr (I)
14. Roberts- Lintmeijer (N)
15. Grantham (N) - Callaghan (E)

I believe every position is pretty much cemented, bit of toss up between 10, 13 and 15. I have put Simmons in but I believe Dempsey is electric and may be fundamentally better than him, will be interesting to see selections and games this weekend.

Thoughts, would be suprised if I missed any.

I believe this is about 95% correct. However, the glorious king Heamasi Makasini (N) is not in the side. I would be very interested as to why you didn't choose him. Is it because of league commitments? is it due to his lack of games? or is it due to the year 10 having him on clamps last week?

I would be keen to hear your reasoning as to why he was not chosen.

Regards,
The king of NEW fan page

Any news on if Bassingthwaighte is returning for SHORE this weekend against Joeys at heavens pasture.
Rumours were that his return was estimated to be in Round 6.
If so, is 1 game enough to justify his selection in GPS 1s side

He has been selected in the CIS rugby league side without playing, maybe the same will happen with GPS……….
