Garbage re View. I think you threw that in for colour.that’s a shame, I have noticed the last two years in particular schools like Scots View and Newigtion booing during goal kicks.
hopefully it gets rubbed out soon!
Same with 1s and 2nds, oddly. I think maybe they all trained for the wet weather game plan?Frustrating Kings 16As game. Plenty of clean jerseys out wide as the 12 and another couple of players decided to verse View By themselves. Disappointing rugby for Kings at this level.
Not sure it was 10 but deffo hit him a few times whilst both on the ground. Scots played a man down for the last 20. TBH the game management from both sides could and should have been better.Sources tell me the Scots boy in the five jersey through around 10 strikes at the head to the blindside flanker of Shore (6). Quite disappointed to hear this still happens in schoolboy rugby and heard it was right underneath the assistant referees nose who did not attempt to break it up.

Let’s not say that mate…Referee should not ref a game again. As a neutral, that was appalling.
Very costly. 2 very kickable conversions missed plus a penalty from right in front and 15m out. The Newington kicker was superb, nailing 2-3 conversions from the sideline.Shame about the goal kicking
His father went to St Gregory’s ( the other Marist school) and played for Souths. He was renowned as one of the quickest players in league.Last year I believe. Definitely not an import, had brothers all throughout the years

I have absolutely no doubt he is paying for the privelige of his boys education.
Yes. Appears all the chat pre game was nonsense. He did a few nice things but there were many other New boys who were better. Great win for the team.In case there was any doubt, Makasini was out there today on the left wing for Newington 1s. That boy is a big unit! Scored a try but otherwise didn't get that many touches. Jersey barely needed a wash after the game.
I’m glad New are doing something about this. Great to see not for Newington, but the rest of the gps aswell. Would love to see some more competitive New games in juniorsThe reality is Newington is not a rugby school as much as Joeys, View etc. They do push rugby but they also push AFL and Soccer very heavily so they don't have the numbers, depth or quality at junior levels. The new DOR is focused on shifting things from trying to buy premierships but it will take 3-5 years to turn it around. He is big on building better coaching and development through all years and grades and bringing a better culture back that was undone by the previous DOR.
Anyway, it was a great win by the 1st XV and we will celebrate it. And rightly so.
I fully agree with this, but also point out that its completely unfair to the schools that don't. It's easy to see it on the depth. Hats off to New, they were just in front most of the game. A lot of things did not go right for joeys today, but, you make your own luck too. New were enormous.Joeys v New (As) Margins
13s - Joeys + 80 (unsure)
14s - Joeys + 48
15s - Joeys + 87
16s - Joeys + 17
2s - Joeys + 19
1s - New +1
Absolutely appalled. The culture of New rugby at the moment is horrendous. I think everyone can agree that it’s unfair to all the New boys who have a dream of playing firsts one day, and then New bring in hundreds of thousands dollars worth of players in opens. Maybe they should consider investing more in junior development. @Joker would agree, we did have a chat about this.
