Wendt has had a rough season; a 1XV spot is a fair bit of pressure for a kid who only played 10 minutes of footy since year 9… Sure he needs to use his hands and maybe Robinson is better on D, but give it to him, Wendt had a cracking game. He ran the ball well, set up some solid balls in the outside backs, wasn’t a weak link on defence and that try was the cherry on top.
Hate on him all you want but he played well today and could really be an impact player next season if he slots in right.
Reflecting now yes let’s hope so for 2026.

I disagree, I think Wendt has huge potential and could go to another level entirely in 2026. He was maybe put in a little prematurely this year but it’s not like SHORE were exactly killing it in 2025 prior to his inclusion.
