NSW AAGPS 2025 (banter and commentary)

Ace Ventura

Alfred Walker (16)
The Joeys team are ruing the one that got away when they played View in Round 5, won by View 34-26 with the luck of the bounce and two intercept tries. No complaints though as Joeys have benefitted from such close ones over the years.
But had just that one game gone the other way, then Joeys and View would be on equal points and playing a Grand Final for the premiership this Saturday.

Means absolutely squat. Didn’t Oakhill beat View in the very early season skirmish game then View spanked them in the return game.

Newington were being spoken of as world beaters after 2 rounds this year.
New were not helped by a number of injuries to key players from rounds 4-7 (not to mention highly, highly contentious loss at Bellevue Hill). Still think their best team remaining on the field would have won the comp (only team to beat View after all) but injuries are part and parcel of the game so well done to View.

I think what would be great is a champions league style fixture at end of GPS and CAS season. Winners of GPS play winners of CAS in 1st, 2nds and 16As. Play it at Leichhardt Oval. Get it on Stan. Would get a great crowd and would be compelling viewing.

Yeah, either that or the matches that they lost by 2 and 5 points. The cope here is incredibly strong. Luck of the bounce my arse :D

View then came back and knocked them over as well.

GPS moving to 2 rounds has been great for the overall play.
