Hadley has played no Rugby in a year and a half. He just needs to play something and probably target the LA Olympics with the 7s side as the Tahs back 3 stocks are fairly jammed at the moment. Always guys miss out on these squads who are still at the required standard.

Good to see a the heavy GPS representation. Doing there bit to subsidise Rugby development in Aus. Dillon and Grover from View. Sharples, Fowler, Doyle, Mangelsdorf from Joeys.

Should we suggest they just wear the GPS rep gear?

How many GPS captains have been put into this Aus 20s team?

From what i know;
Finn Baxter (E)
Will Guilfoyle (S)
Toby Brial (S)
Liam Grover (R)
Hwi Sharples (J)

Are there any more? seems to be lots of leaders filling the side.

His impressive confidence and magic in rucks is needed though, he was easily the best 7 and perhaps forward in the GPS last season.

I would almost say his small size benefits the way he plays, with his style proving very valuable to teams he has played for. His size hasn't stopped him playing well before, hence why I don't think he should (and hopefully won't) be shunned from team positions due to his size.
school boy footy, Shute Shield footy are not test match footy. A 7 must be a lineout option and the reality is that physics takes over at the gain line eventually.

That's not true.

You have four legitimate options before you get to potentially throwing a 7 up in the lineout. If you can't get it done with them you have bigger problems. How many takes did McReight, Tizzano, Gamble and Reimer take this year in Super Rugby? Australia have never used our 7 as an extra 6. We use them for a skill specific set in the pack.

He is on the smaller side but at his age he's fine. Every chance he ends up high 90s low 100s in weight which is fine if he maintains speed in the middle. Hooper, McReight, Tizzano all 101kg. Even Van de Flier is only 103kg

How tall was Hooper actually? I know he is listed at 5'11ish but that has to be wrong, I wonder if MLM can get close to him, but does anyone have an accurate guess to Hooper's height?

Marshall Le Matire certainly should be making these Aus 20 rep teams after his recent form in shute shield. He is starting in first grade and dominating! Already winning 2+ man of the match performances, he is on a tear at the moment. I believe he might take the same route as Jorgo, skip the Aus 20s and go straight to the Tahs and beyond. I reckon he will be able to debut next season, interested to hear others thoughts. Cheers Professor

Michael Lippman's only 6.1ft
Joeys 1st / 100 games for Bath and a caps for England.
Marshall is a lot shorter than Hooper and Lipman for that matter. If he hits 100kg he’ll loose a tonne of pace which is an important attribute of his. no denying he is a great competitor, i reckon he could continue and be a good 7 at Shute Shield but he could be a genuine world class 9.

Jorgo skipped 20’s by going straight to Super footy, he didn’t sit out 20’s via the vagaries of selection politics.
