Questionable decision from Le Maitre. Another questionable decision from the referee who gave a legal turnover while the Joeboy was on his backside. The final score is the final score though. Well done SJC, a great game. Further credit must go to the Shore supporters who stood in the freezing cold and pouring rain for 80 minutes to cheer on the Boys.

The boys looked freezing on the sidelines. Surprised so many should up considering the conditions. Just goes to show the shore boys still have faith despite the past unlucky losses.

it sucks if they turned 2 of those unlucky close losses into wins they'd definitely be in contention

Joeys got the ball off a turnover, winger tryed to hastily kick it out off the back of the ruck, was charged down, Le Maitre had the open field ahead of him and the ball at his feet and opted to nudge it forwards. Way overcooked it and went dead. SJC wins.

I did build up the courage to get out to Joeys vs Shore today. Both teams played great and was an outstanding watch. I think Shore were the better team and deserved to win but it keeps happening to them on the bell. Must admit the referee did make some really questionable decisions at the end of the game. Shore looked like they had momentum and were 30 out from Joeys line. There forwards were hitting it up and Joeys were starting to fatigue. Joeys boy who had the winning pilfer was on his backside on the ground and all joeys had to do was kick it out. Plot twist it got charged down and for a second it looked like shore were going to have it but Le maitre toed it out and Joeys were winners. Gotta feel for the Shore boys they gave it there all once again and came out on the bottom. Saw Ed Baxter come off fairly early any updates would be good. Was looking forward to watching him vs Greer and shore did miss him in the lineouts. Joeys looking like contenders again and maybe last week was just a little speed bump. Shore will almost need to win every game from here.

Round 4:
Joeys look very hard to beat favs to win GPS. Another shield heading back to HH.
Kings will be right up there, great season from the boys from North Parra.
View tight loss but two loses in a row slipping fast. Have to hope Joeys lose 2 games
Scots- 1 draw and 2 loses now, the dreams are fading fast.... very fast........Have to hope Joeys lose 3 games.
Newington- Dark horses played great wet weather footy Toby Rodwell one of the best!

Rodwell (N) is probably the best wet weather player in the competition right now.
Newington 27 - 17 Scots

Agreed - Rodwell was certainly man of the match, may I note No. 12 Humphries had a great game he was unstoppable and slipped through the Scots defence like butter. Another solid bloke out on the Johno was No. 14 Grantham, saw a few good runs and smart plays from him. All this without their team captain Cleverly tickles my curiosity... if they keep this upwards trajectory they could be an absolute force of nature.

The fullback for Scots played well though, not sure what his name is but he was quick-thinking and made some solid meterage on the pitch. Newington taking on Kings will be a pivotal game for their season i presume.

Joeys vs Shore 17 - 14
Saddened to have to write this in defeat. Crowd was pumping on both sides despite the rain, intensity didn’t drop off, I really thought Shore was going to come out on top but missed a few pivotal things that would have secured it. A clean performance on Shores behalf but Joeys got it done.. Shore looked to be favourites going into the season, and on paper are top tier but just haven’t been able to get the job done which means the prem is truly out of sight. I must also add there were some questionable calls by the ref towards the end and Shore looked to be the stronger side. Well done to Joeys however .Only time will tell what will happen now…
