I just can't see the argument for Fonua over Taumoepeau. My prediction for GPS 1st XV Pack

5. Greer
6. Brial
7. Lewis-Thorp
8. Fonua
Especially with how dominant joeys are looking this year.I just can't see the argument for Fonua over Taumoepeau.
Great team. But I reckon Le Maitre at 7 and Taumoepeau at 8, could be another option. Great team though. Cheers. My prediction for GPS 1st XV Pack

8. Fonua
I highly doubt he will play president's when he's currently the best No. 8 in the GPS.Founua over Brial is, in my opinion, is highly unlikely. Brial has made a very strong case to be selected as captain and I think at the very least he has more than proven he is a good enough footballer to be selected. If Fonua was to be selected as a lock he would be replacing Greer. Considering this I believe that Taumoepeau will be playing president, and Fanua will be playing at no 8.
I would personally argue that the difference is minimal between Taumoepeau and Fonua. I think it is in the better interest of the GPS to select Taumoepeau in the presidents XV and Fonua in 1s GPS creating better depth thought all teams.I highly doubt he will play president's when he's currently the best No. 8 in the GPS.
Lomoto from scots is also in the mix no? CheersGreat team. But I reckon Le Maitre at 7 and Taumoepeau at 8, could be another option. Great team though. Cheers.
All signs point to Taumoepeau as the 8.Especially with how dominant joeys are looking this year.
no. he is ineligable.Lomoto from scots is also in the mix no? Cheers
Or Taumoepeau as GPS 1s number 8 and Fonua as 2s number 8.I would personally argue that the difference is minimal between Taumoepeau and Fonua. I think it is in the better interest of the GPS to select Taumoepeau in the presidents XV and Fonua in 1s GPS creating better depth thought all teams.
Completely Agree. Don't get me wrong Fonua is a great player and amazing rugby specialist, but Taumoepeau was born for the game, his sheer will and dedication is unmatched. He is one of the best schoolboy No8s I've ever seen, and definitely earned a spot in the GPS 1st XV. Hope it all works out for him. Cheers. All signs point to Taumoepeau as the 8.
In my personal opinion Taumoepeau is far ahead of Fonua, Fonua just cant compete.I would personally argue that the difference is minimal between Taumoepeau and Fonua. Fonua definitely can compete, and no way should anyone rule him out for No8 in the GPS 1st XV side. They are so close and matched in skill, but I believe in this close battle for GPS No8, Taumoepeau might just get selected over him. Open to suggestions. Cheers. In my personal opinion Taumoepeau is far ahead of Fonua, Fonua just cant compete.
I think many are overreacting on the difference is skill between the 2. When they went head to head not long ago, there was not much difference. Both some of the best no. 8s Schoolboy rugby has seen.In my personal opinion Taumoepeau is far ahead of Fonua, Fonua just cant compete.
Possibly Osborne aswell.Would this year have the most year 11s in a GPS 1st team ever? or at least in a while.
Assuming Ghattas, Fonua, Justice, Grover, Makasini, Gough, Callaghan all make it.
Would be extremely dominant. Would be great to see. ThanksThoughts on Fanua to 6? Greer at 4, Brial at 5, Le Matire at 7, Taumaupeou at 8?
