Big big news for scots, 16s star from scots Finnlay Bartlett has been dropped from Seconds into 16A's. Finn has only played opens this season and will hugely help scots in the 16s.

Wasn’t the 2nd XV Joeys V Scots trial at HH early this season very close? Scots would be reluctant to weaken the 2’s to win a 16’s game where they would start as favourites. Intriguing.

Joeys have a couple of injury-related changes to make this week for the match against Scots.

The forwards remain unchanged after a terrific performance against a much bigger Newington pack. In the backs, winger Will Malloy is out with a shoulder injury, with Miles Minto returning to the side after also having a lengthy stint on the sidelines with a similar injury.

At fullback, Max Jorgenson has not recovered in time after injuring his shoulder in the first minute after half time last week. On medical advice he will not play tomorrow. His place is taken by Patrick Broe, who has played centre and wing in the first XV at times this season, however fullback is his usual position.

1. Jack Barrett
2. Atticus Heaven
3. Harry Bell
4. Darcy Fogarty
5. Quinn Dickinson
6. Archie Campbell
7. Patrick Young
8. Harry Darling
9. Hwi Sharples
10. Joey Fowler
11. Ben Whyte
12. Oscar Jorgensen
13. Ronan Leahy
14. Miles Minto
15. Patrick Broe

No doubt the loss of their talismanic fullback is a huge obstacle for Joeys to overcome. They will need to rely on strong defence and an exceptional forwards display to get in front and stay there.

Scots, also without their charismatic leader in Ollie Cummins, have arguably played two of their best halves of football this year without him. Firstly, against Joeys after he was red carded, and last week in the second half come from behind win against Riverview. At home, with a softer ground, and with their tails up after escaping with an away win at The Swamp last week, this game is anyone's call.

This game will be a great contest without arguably two of the best players in the comp. I am excited to see the piggies match up and believe that the winner of the forwards contest will win on the day. Keen to see a couple of you out at BH.
Go Joeys!

that will be devastating for joeys howvever it will give the others a chance to step up and show their depth as a side and not just a reliance on jorgensen

Yes General, this is quite accurate I have received the same team list. Going to be a great battle this week without Cummins and MJ on the field.
Go Scots!!

I believe he has just been ruled out so the backline will be down a few players with #12 and #13 different this week.
I believe Ekin-Su is quite a talented player and will not let the team down. He has been very very competitive for the 13 jersey throughout the age groups. I specifically remember in the 15As when he came on against Newington and did not disappoint. He has been working very hard to gain another chance since them. It wont be quite the same as having Cummins but I do believe he has potential to put on a clinic alongside Di staso.
