Thanks for that UTG. I didn't realise that it was just the TAS games. Still, it will be better than Kings where only the firsts played and TAS outnumbered the Kings supporters. But "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers" will do our best to create an atmosphere. And maybe win!
I was thinking the other day that it's actually a bit sad for the Sydney boys to miss the opportunity of playing in Armidale. Yes, I know the arguments. But as High and Grammar know, when you come to Armidale you are the main event. How many thirds teams get the opportunity to play where they are the main event, the standard banners for their school, in front of significant crowds with (and this is for joker) the food stalls and all the other paraphernalia of the main event.? And for the more junior boys too there is an excitement, a frisson, that cannot be found in the mundanities of standard Sydney Saturday sport. There they are part of the routine, in Armidale they are special.
Never mind. I will enjoy tomorrow and hope that both schools enjoy themselves.
