No Ben Alexander. Thompson and Abel move to the bench with Anae and Toua starting this week.

The Rays will need a power cut or a bomb scare to keep this to only 30.
If it runs for 80, it could be a record score.
Plenty of mismatches in the one on ones.

The reality is if virtual club teams are playing teams stacked with super rugby players and getting smashed it will soon become a comp just not worth paying any attention to and destined to fail. It will not serve the purpose it was intended to.

Too much doom and gloom. Results mostly reflect the ability of the team as a whole rather than the individuals. Not so long ago (2 weeks) that the Spirit outscored the Vikings in numbers of tries, though just didn't get over the line. The Rays are not significantly weaker than the Spirit team on that occasion.

Remember also, that the Vikings with a similar team sheet finished mid-table last year as they didn't adapt to the pace and structure of the NRC style of game. Clearly, coaching is a very important factor in how teams are travelling in the NRC.

I expect the Vikings to win, but if the Rays are able to gel as a team and have a willing game plan, it will be no walkover.

Vikings 26 - 24 Rays at HT. Picture back on. Game much closer than others on this thread thought it might be, but early on at least the ref did his best to keep the Rays in the contest. Vikings' scrum demolishing the Rays.

Hasn't started. Begins at 6 AEST

Rays have had a good season considering lack of super rugby players - results may not reflect it - but been competitive against sides with much greater numbers of super rugby players - does tell you something
