with a 6 on 4 overlap it would have been criminal if there wasnt a try scored in that move

if a reds player had done exactly the same thing there would be a shortage of tissues up north, you guys have become so bitter up there. good step and play by tommy, good to see. we move on.

Not to be picky but a 6 on 4 overlap is much harder to make work than a 2 on 1 or 3 on 2. Principle's the same but you require more room because the four have more opportunity to slide.

not sure that really makes sense... no shortage of tissues?? and bitter over what, Tom Carter?? lol

anyway, just stating the truth, i thought he showed good footwork tocut back inside, the defence was obviously sliding because of the NSW overlap, hence why TC was able to wrong foot him so well.. against a better defensive line the better option would have been to use the numbers out wide... but like you say, moving on

1. The Force have huge problems with their scrum. That was ugly unless you're a Tah supporter.

2. Carter had a blinder.

3. Tahs 24 needs tackling practise (a lot of practise).

4. What was Greg Petersen doing sea-gulling for that try?

1. Agree and that wasn't the only dominant scrum of the Tahs for the evening. And even when Palu went off and Mowen switched to 8 with Latekefu on at 6, it was tasty. Even the Academy lads in the 4th Qtr held their own apart from one missed hit IIRR.

As topo indicated: LHP Kepu's contribution to the scrum effort was encouraging.

2. Maybe we saw another side of Carter that we will see more of. The step for the try, the pass to Beale to set up a Mitchell try - where will it all end? Can we dream of X-factor?

3. Nicky Price is not officially part of the Tahs stable. I hadn't noticed such poor defence when he played for Southern Districts last year but it wasn't a good look was it?

4. Maybe he has been watching video clips of Sharpie. The lad is not a known seaguller though. Watch this space.

Oh yes, regarding the footy pretty much agree with Hawko. It was a very promising effort by Chariots. I'd say more than a few Academy/blow in Tahs need a bit of tackling practice (and to learn you don't have to score off EVERY play). Anyway it was good fun and great value. Even got to have a chat with a pretty lady, wins all round.
