Top 14 gets reaaal interesting the weekend after. Final four weeks of regular season. And three teams locked together on the bottom rung. Top 14 has automatic relegation for #14, direct swap with champion of ProD2. Then #13 finisher goes into a winner takes all against the ProD2 second placed team, at the ProD2 team's home ground. Could be any of two of Vannes, Stade Francais or Perpignan. Vannes has the tiniest budget by far and if they stay up it'll be an amazing success story. Stade Francais has a billionaire owner and heaps of money, would be catastrophic if they go down.

Perpignan play Stade Francais next weekend at a very parochial home stadium. Gonna be spicy.

At the other end of the table Toulouse has finally pulled away from Bordeaux and Toulon with the latter two having shock losses last weekend. Will be very difficult to shift Toulouse from spot #1. The interesting bit is the final (6th) finals spot is tied with three teams again. Clermont, La Rochelle and Lyon. They all play similar teams so very much destiny in their own hands.

Racing and Stade 10th and 12th. Good grief. And to think Racing's star recruit will be going on a Lions tour.
