Is Captain Pulver on board at this point or is he back at the yacht club?:)
Found a poster from when Captain Pulver was a simple Ensign.

I can agree with the suggestion that this is a case of crisis management gone wrong, but the crisis occurred when Kurtley punched his Rebels' captain and a fellow player and he wasn't shunted then.

So you think this whole affair is really more to do with Beale's days back at the Rebels?

Otherwise, I'm not sure what else is involved in the "whole sorry saga".

So what then is the saga?

There has been a series of events since the argument on the plane that has unfortunately led to the resignation of our coach. That argument involved, and may have been instigated by Beale. Early investigation of that incident disclosed further, much more serious incidents to be resolved. They also centred on Beale. All of the matters raised by these events are about Beale, not about others (except if it transpires that other players were privy to and supported the actions taken by Beale).

Think you'll probably just remain annoyed.

Do you really not get it? Yes, Beale has been a problem - strangely not a problem at the Tahs this year, but a problem for sure. Now, he's not the first wayward footballer and he won't be the last.

The point, which you clearly missed by several kilometres, is that it's a little bit moot to complain about him at this point - what's done was done. Rather, the focus should be on how the fall-out was managed.

Now, how was it managed? Well, when all is said and done the end result here has been one immature player has cost a key coaching staff members their jobs and seen the head coach himself resign over an inappropriate text message and a mid-flight argument between tired staff over a T-Shirt.

Now, far be it from me to suggest that the ARU isn't perfect, but as an Australian who isn't utterly cocooned from the other codes I've seen a fair few sporting controversies through different sports, and I have to say that I can't recall a player's poor behaviour - and let's be honest here, Rugby League has dealt with far worse - ever causing this much shit.

But whatever mate, just sack Beale and all the problems with the Wallabies will go away. Heck, it worked for Deans when he got rid of Cooper didn't it?

Oh wait...

I think it's fair to have someone to manage ticketing. The other role is a wanky way of saying BA. I might even apply for that one...

More like data analyst. Business analyst works with the business to solve problems and facilitate change. The BA also has a great pleasure in telling It to get their collective shit together and do it this way (and tell the developers they're not always right).

Cant wait for the new Wallatahs coach to come in and sort out his own Provincial players. And then he can bring back Beale and I'm sure he will do anything in his power swinging his Golf Club around trying to get a Australian Passport for Jacques Potgieter.
Super Happy of the Future of the Wallabies...

I know. I was referring to the language you used implying he's done and dusted. At the age of 25. He left, he'll likely come back at some point, and could well have something to offer. I wouldn't dismiss that chance.

Come on now, I didn't say or suggest anything like that but he should not have been guaranteed a wallaby jersey either as Cheika was suggesting. Not sure why he left so young to be honest as he could have forced his way in if he was good enough. Perhaps he wanted to do the OE thing and make some more money which is fair enough.

Beale's problems, and the issues plaguing the Wallabies as a whole are mutually exclusive..............

I love the catch cry "Beale stayed out of trouble at the Waratahs all season".

Oh gee billy? He managed to not act like a tool for a WHOLE 6 months? Wow. He must be reformed!

C'mon TWAS, exactly the same things were said about QC (Quade Cooper).
And was used as evidence by many to justify Link replacing RD.

I don't recall that being the case at all.............

There was criticism of Deans being too lenient on his troubled stars...........

That hasn't been the case with Link.

No, but he might have been intimidated into pulling his head enough not to act like a tool for 6 months. And if he's as much of an absolute loose cannon as you seem to think, that's not nothing.

Or maybe it was just luck.

Hard to say.

You mean Quade who had legal trouble in 2009, then a public falling out with the coach in 2012? 2 incidents in the last 5 years.

If he was that intimidated I doubt he'd step out of line as soon as he was in the wallabies set up, for fear of repercussions back home.

I'm tipping luck.

Bookies would almost certainly give you better odds. But you'd still be betting.

(Btw, I'm not defending Beale. I'm inclined to agree that it was probably luck. But we don't actually know. We're just guessing.)

I'm not trying to say the Waratahs are terrible or anything, but even career criminals have stayed straight for 6 months. Let's not get carried away.

Importantly, people get less frustrated and do less stupid things when they are winning.

So cheks is the coach. Hard bastard, good with media, proven history with attractive, winning rugby. Also chose his assistants wisely and quickly (even if bernie didn't accept) which shows purpose and intent. Given the circumstances, we're onto a pretty good thing.

What'll be a really bad thing however, is if the new coach impacts on the Beale tribunal. That'll instantly start his campaign on the wrong foot for everybody living outside of NSW, and everyone offended by Beale (aka women).

Basically, if we are to win the RWC (miracles have happened) then the entire country will have to be united. Underlying provincial bias is fine but a rift is not. Here is a good opportunity to unify the country and rebuild Australian rugby, PLEASE don't fuck it up by backing your dickhead mate.

and if he backs beale... well, atleast its not Jake White

Just FYI Quade can do everything Beale does, but better. call that some underlying provincial bias ey ;)
