for a large part of one game.
just a small reference.

in any event, how would Horwill or Carter go calling the lineouts?
they'd have to, right after my starting locks broke Simmons.

Fine. Horwill has called the lineouts before for the Reds and Wallabies. I fail to see how, in this day and age, any players get "broken" anyway like you are insinuating.

Timani and Douglas never achieved any great heights in Wallaby colours. Douglas, in particular, had potential, but he never showed it at higher level, culminating in disastrous performances against the Lions. Timani is worse than Skelton - Skelton is more mobile, has better hands and has more impact - and I don't think that Skelton is ready for Test rugby. Timani had one of the worst workrates and ruck techniques that I ever saw in a Test lock in a top tier nation.

For a test pack, I'd take Options 1: Horwill, Simmons and Carter, and if you can pick and choose periods of form, 2011 Horwill is head and shoulders above them all.

Option 2 you'd also need a 6 or 8 who can dominate a lineout.

Any chance you could just make it a red and save us all from the overweening arrogance permanently?

surely the only reason someone can be banned is for breaking the forum rules. would be a bit sad if other factors (eg dislike for post content, or perceived arrogance) becomes a reason.

would be open slather then for mods banning people on personal tastes.

Ash, you're forgetting that players playing overseas are instantly better than the ones playing here.

Presumably the backup for Timani and Douglas will be Dean Mumm. His versatility and leadership are incredible. The Wallabies loss was Exeter Chiefs' gain!

Muglair and TWAS,

You both describe problems prevelant not only in AUS but here as well. Unions work for the money and their coaches for themselves and their jobs first and foremost.

The national coaches receive a lot of criticism for the players they deprive of the unions.

Instigating a change from above is also not easily adopted or adhered to because the national cause remains a secondary cause.

No other nation in the world does not have these problems except New Zealand.

And Mark Chisholm. Julian Salvi in the back row. Leroy Houston is dominating over there too.

Certainly. If you get banned for something other than breaking a forum rule, you can take Gagger to the International Court for Arbitration of Internet Forums.

The mods here are very tolerant.

However, consistent baiting, trolling, refusal to let things go (see rule 10), and generally just chasing the tail of everyone else in the forum will result in warnings and culminate in a ban.

fur sure.

but arrogance enough to ban someone? I don't think so. who decides who is arrogant and who is not.

here's some possibilities, in order of preference:

1 - Richard Graham
2 - Steve Meehan
3 - Todd Louden
4 - Brian Smith (London, not ex Parra, Brian Smith)
