If you watched a game in SA just 2 years ago you would of seen it QHs, Dan Carter was penalised after he passed ball and was behind his fellow Crusader.
Perhaps you need to watch more rugby mate:)

I've watched plenty of rugby, including 150 grade games with a whistle.

At least I'm able to concede that when a team that I support gets a dodgy call in our favour that the other team were unfairly treated.

It really reflects poorly when some people can't.

Wallabies flanker Dean Mumm has been cited for alleged foul play during his team's third Bledisloe Cup Test loss to the All Blacks.

Mumm has been charged with striking by the citing commissioner, who deemed the 52nd minute incident - missed by referee Nigel Owens - met the red card threshold.
Tackling with too much vigour? Running at the opposition too hard?

What I like about that still shot is how it shows the rate at which Speight was pulling away from both even before Savea flapped his wings. He was never a chance to tackle him.

Remember one eyed trolls lack binocular vision and thus have no depth perception.

im not sure the comments about foley's boot are entirely accurate given the same from the kiwis - there was a pretty swirly breeze.

Well that will please some as it will result in a default back to Fardy.

No mate you missed the point: this is a discussion, and whilst your point is correct for the players, it isn't on this forum. Anyone is free to give their opinion, as long as it is done in a tasteful and non personal manner.

If someone things they should scrutinise the referees decision then they should be able to. The referees are professional therefore they should be able to be criticised, where warranted, just like any other professional. How else will there be potential improvement of decisions, if they are "untouchable"? To do anything else is folly and leads down a darker road.

Exactly, and the same applies to forum posters' rights to criticise coaching and team selections. Too many defenders of the officials and coaches for my liking when obvious contentious issues arise.

Not surprised about Speight's missed tackles. His defensive positioning is all wrong, as evidenced by his attempted intercept - chance to smash a bloke, he takes the low-percentage option.

I think the double-playmaker situation limits our options, because its 2 guys directing 4, not 1 guy directing 5. More running options makes defenders pause.

I'd like to see Quade go back to where he was a couple of years ago, when his tackling started to improve (i.e. tackling, not trying to strip and getting bumped) and he stopped transferring pressure from first five. He can be a lot better than Foley, but Foley carved up last night and if you disagree with that, nobody can help you rugby.

The popgun boot isn't an issue when we're attacking like that. Put that performance on the park against any of the NH sides and we win comfortably, because no-one counterattacks like the ABs.

1) If the ref hasn't asked him to wait, he can take the conversion any time within a minute of the try/tee arriving should he require a tee.

2) If the ref asks him to wait, and he doesn't, then the kick is disallowed.
Should have done crudens trick ie kuck immediately after the try is awarded if any tmo queries

And I'm wondering if World Rugby are going to look at those protocols.

Firstly, the ability for the home ground broadcaster to stick up endless replays as soon as they spot something. This isn't new BTW - back in 2000 Dan Luger scored a very dodgy try to win the game for the Poms, and when the TMO asked the OB director for another angle, he staunchly maintained there wasn't one. This, despite the ground having two cameras end-on in the dead goal area which would show it was a knock-on.

Secondly, the ability for the TMO to make any decision on this within "X" phases of play. Might have said it earlier, but let's consider a situation where DHP still runs Speight off his line, but Perenara gets across to tackle Speight short, and a ruck forms. Ball pops, we score. The broadcaster can play the obstruction as many times as he likes, but because it didn't happen in the last phase, its irrelevant.

Cruden took a very quick conversion on a try, on the chance Sio might have been impeded (he wasn't) to head off that kind of thing.

So the unintended consequence might be less fucking around at conversions because of the risk of any back play.

You mean, a Rugby management organisation actively manage rugby effectively? Don't be ridiculous.

I just had a look and worked out the incident. It's at about 52:45, Retallick is on our side of the ruck and pulls Mumm out of the ruck, Mumm basically just does a big back hand swipe at him and he seems to do a massive Hollywood dive onto his back and then stays down. Perhaps it was harder than it looked but WTF is Retallick doing there in the first place?

Mate the answer I gave you was in reply that you had never seen it called in a game of rugby, I was merely pointing out that I had seen it.

sorry for the poor quality

EDIT: it seems to have not worked but I'll leave it there for a bit as it says it will be available shortly

Here's where the chase started. Given Savea has had to track across laterally a couple of metres (and thus has covered a touch more ground than Speight) he's not really 'pulled away' much at all. And from where Savea is in the first shot, it'd only take a half step or so gain to get within ankle tap distance.

Also, for the sake of reference, here's how close you have to be to pull off a successful ankle tap.

Yep fair enough Sage, perhaps I see where you coming from, and perhaps I just feel that an awful lot of the comments haven't really been tasteful or a non personal.
And it not just because Owens was doing an AB game and decision suited us, as I was one who defended Joubert in the Scottish QF test in WC,in what seemed to be a mistake he made, mind you so were all the Wallaby supporters so, we all agreed!!

not to mention in the lead up to that first still or during that time -- Savea is pulling on DHP's arm

Might be time to stop trolling. You're not in any way an edifying representative for what you claim to be a brilliant nation. Planet Rugby might have an opening for another smug Kiwi, though.
REALLY fuckin hate the gloating shit, either way. Unless you actually played in the game at hand, you don't have a hill of beans in the fucken fight. Just vicariously-lived vitriol that NEVER looks good. From what I can make out online, a solid 60% of NZ fans are just plain old flat-out wankers. And about 30% of the aussies. (this % could increase if Aus start winning, oh shit)

Here is where the race begins, using the 10m line for reference. Savea has had time to turn, grab DHP's shirt, and then get to pace. Speight has had time to get his run right to accelerate onto the ball (beautifully put in front of him by Foley, I might add):

Here is where DHP supposedly interfered with Savea:

At this point, Savea is within ankle tap range.

Savea has also lost nearly 2 metres.

No way was he getting there.
