While I think the manufacturer is always taking a piss at least a little, from personal experience I know that my rugby season was made much more comfortable by training in and wearing compression garments i.e. Skins. There is something to be said, but quantifying it is bullshit.

yeah i agree with NTA, whilst the article obviously wreaks of bullshit, and good on them for letting it do so, but a small part of it speaks the truth.

Without going into the scientific side of the house i felt as though the compression garnments that my team used last year in training and some games also assisted. Our jerseys didnt lower the heart though :(

Not much you can do to alter fitness :)

With the skins I found I had much better recovery times too - where in the previous season I was playing less minutes but feeling awful the next day, in 2009 I got up on Sundays with much less stiffness, and wasn't feeling too strained the mornings after training either.

hopefully the shorts come with a dipper so gits and pocock and JOC (James O'Connor) dont have to leave the field while chucking there tantrums.

sorry to have to ask again but do we know a specific date that the jerseys will be revealed on?

for those playing at home, Fox Sports News just cut to break saying the all new look wallabies coming up soon, so jersey design must be launched today with sales starting tomorrow.

love it, no southern cross though, a bit like the waratahs jersey from last year, green piping all running down sort of a frame of the front panel then a line down the shoulder that finishes in front of it if that makes sense.

no collar, same as the brumbies and reds collar.

the shorts are green with a lighter green panel down each side, which is made of sham-wow (not kidding) with gold piping on each side of it.

socks are pretty much plain green and are just like skins compression socks

nice jersey though,
cant say anything bad about it, though would love the southern cross on it.

*FoxSportsNews is running a preview story, goes for a few minutes, james horwill trys it all on and talks about it as well as showing the Kooga factory and the manufacturing boss talking about the design inervations, good little piece.

So much for unveiling it on Australia day

That said, the Jersey looks fantastic. I really expected a retarded design (not sure why) but I think it looks the goods for sure AND it sounds like they really put some work into the practicalities as well. Jesus, if you look carefully at the start of the clip you can see the southern cross is on it across the front in the same colour as the Jersey but in some kind of reflective colouring. I think this is a nice subtle touch.

Thanks for posting the clip btw

so it is, large though, i prefer the green southern cross on the chest.
the australia day date is the release of the jersey for sale, its actually being launched sometime today and Fox are putting up a sneak peak to help drive sales in the morning.

im assuming with the cost price of the players jersey being 200 bucks to manufacture, the replica jerseys for the public will have a more generous cut
