On previous efforts, this game is sure to be a bore-a-thon.

I want a fair few players from tonight to play in this game but I'm not sure they will be able to back up.

Is that the official team royboi?

Maybe there are some clues as to the plan for the Italians and French here...Is Van Humphries under consideration for a test cap? and is Hynes in line for a recall?

That's what I figured as well. Does that mean that KB (Kurtley Beale) might play 10 or perhaps even given a rest? or alternativley is Robbie looking at dropping one of Lachie or Drew. I would really like to see Van and Sharpe partnered together in a test match. Van looked good in the tight against Leicester.

Oz have changed the team around a bit but it could never be a lot different. I'm more interested in the Munster team chosen from the nominated squad plus anybody extra released by Deccie.

As mentioned in the Leicester thread: Oz A will have to control themselves better when things go wrong in the game, as they will. They will have to watch their discipline when this happens otherwise they may give away penalties again trying too hard to make a difference as an individual, rather than trusting in the team. This happens a lot to players trying to shine enough to get promoted, not appreciating that the ability to be a team player is high on the list of things ticked off on the clipboards.

They also have to work better at keeping their defensive line configured right. They can't bank on Munster being as inept on attack when they make the odd beak, as the Tigers were last week.

There's not a lot they can do about getting a bit more X-factor into their play with Barnes at 10 and A.Finger at 12 but I hope they have a few more moves. They can't rely on Burgess providing most of the spark as he did last week, and if Sanchez is injured as badly as we fear, he may not play anyway.

Before anybody else says it: here we go again: talking about the backs. A bit more go forward on attack - and defence in counter rucking, for that matter - should make a difference to the back line.

Otherwise, I fear our excellent back 3 will wither on the vine as they did at Welford Road.

If our forwards can repeat the excellent performance from the Leicester game then we should be talking about the backs.
Nothing has happened in between last Wednesday and now, has it? Oh... :(

Bit interesting that Lachie Turner has been moved to fullback, you would think he should be on the wing to push his claim.

A bit of time at 15 may also boost his credentials as the utility backs reserve... by which token I'd say Hynes had a shocker last Wednesday

Reg posted on another thread that Lachie has been removed from the line-up for Munster to avoid injury as he will start against Italy in place of JOC (James O'Connor).

Seen him play on TV a couple of times and saw him play in the British and Irish cup (or whatever you call it) Seems a serious enough lineout operator, thought he was a bit slight, but sure he'll put on a few over the next few years.

Ah hope he comes back, when is that magic full back Felix Jones back? Cruciates wasn't it? so I assume another few months at least!:(

Felix won't be back until after Christmas. Which is a serious pity, because at the moment, on his form before the injury, I could have seen him pushing hard for the 6N squad.

Oh, and Gagger? Unless you book a flight that gets you here in the next 24 hours, you're still a blouse.
