"Wallabies winger Drew Mitchell has been ruled out of Saturday's Bledisloe Cup Test against New Zealand after succumbing to a hamstring injury"
id like to have hynes in provided hes match fit> anyone got an update?

Pat Mcabe, baptism by fire!!!!

Has Hynesy played lately? I wouldn't mind seeing Turner or Cummins given a crack to show they could be a big part of our WC plans, I doubt either of them currently have the wares to really capitalise on it though.

Yeah, thought there might be a few casualties after Saturday. We will miss Schmoo, he has played well in the last couple of games. Would love to see Hynes if fit, but Turner would be good as well.

But I'm sure Robbie will still take half of the 7s squad for a few training sessions and then pick Hynes anyway.

One of the Sevens guys will be picked, Turner would make the most sense, but any of the three gives the ARU and Deans justification of dragging them to SA

This will be interesting because it will shed a little light into the current pecking order given that there are so many wingers in the squad at the moment.

Who are they?

Mitchell, Turner, Cummins. Hynes is injured, Shepherd is injured.

Who are the otherv specialists?

I would be amazed if they went left field and brought in Morahan for a game like this, and that is no slight on him. I don't think it is time for a newby, though. Gut feeling is Turner will get a run.

Hynes is not injured, he played for GPS before the Wobs went to SA - he is just short of match fitness. McCabe has played all of his Super rugby at wing, so I guess he would have to be considered a wing specialiast at this stage and Shepperd from what I hear could be fit as well. That means that their is four or potentially five players going for one positions. It will be very interesting to see who gets the call-up.

Also Morahan has been playing 13 for Uni in QLD and has been looking very dangerous, however it would be highly unlikely that he would get a call up from outside the squad. This is a little left field, but Jono Lance the Uni flyhalf has been looking outstanding and will have gone very close to securing a senior contract for next year. If he is not signed by Link's men, the Force or the Rebels would be very silly not to look at him.

i think he could pick barnes and i wouldn't be surprised at all

Wouldn't be surprised if Barnes does get a start at 12 and Gits is on the bench to counter fatigue.

Has to be Turner.

We are really going to miss Shmoo. He has been outstanding over the last couple of weeks.
