Fucking hell. Wilkin and Holloway in the side. Both worthy of a start in any comp in the world.

Who's chipping in for this. Love there Salary cap that is complete bullshit with the off the field benefits.

Assuming Gits has hung it up, that’s probably freed up a reasonable chunk of cash

Ryan Louwrens finishes up with Montpellier and heading back to Australia.

Played a few times off the bench and one start.

As he played on the weekend it must have been a "medical joker" contract.

At 34 likely to be a club rugby gig next.

Was playing for Hunter Wildfires a season a go in Shute Shield alongside Bo Abra. Would be a good pick up for them if it was a whole season. Darren Coleman now the boss there.

Salary cap for MLR is 500k per team. Not a lot of wiggle room. Apparently, Gits was on a base of $45k. Even with third party extras and free board etc its not the same as Japan second division. Nonu must have some sweet deals lined up.

It's actually closer to $750k a season as per Miami's co-owner. There's also an additional $250k if teams hit their development goals. Which most if not all do. So it's around $1m USD or just under $1.6m AUD. Then there's travel, accommodation, car leasing etc. So the real spend on talent is probably closer to $2m AUD.

Yeah, you give a bloke cash, free housing for the family (good housing, car and probably cover a bunch of costs it’s possible a package value for the high profile guys gets around 200k for the year.

Not bad to still squeeze that out of a 42 year old body in Rugby. I also imagine the training could be a bit simpler than Japan D2. You’re dealing with a more professional calibre player than the MLR generally with some blokes getting gigs who are barely 1st graders and it’s a working holiday gig.
