Should never kick again for the Wallabies. End of. Should be dropped to bench as 10/12 cover. Barnes to start at 12 as this will assist Pocock in covering the defensive hole that is Cooper. JOC (James O'Connor) dropped to bench and replaced by a genuine winger. A. Fainga'a dropped from 22 and replaced on bench by outside back anybody I don't care but please get some balance in the team and FFS use the F%$$# bench.

because genia, fat cat, cooper all played that much better?

None of them have been that consistently shithouse all year, nor been as largely responsible for some atrocious losses. His brief displays incisiveness in Bloomfontein were just that, brief.
Genia seems to be playing hurt, fat cat is on the mend, cooper had a poor game but has been fantastic otherwise all year.

JO'C on the wing doesn't bother me as much, I think it works alright.

It works fine for 20 minutes, the problem with starting him there means you then have 60 minutes of average. Bring him on at 60 and get it then.

Also check most of his tries this 3N, most of them have just been him finishing someone else's line break. Yeah 'gold star' for backing up, but haven't really seen him finish a try Turner couldn't have done.

Add to that three may four tries where he has been out of position.

Genia shouldn't be starting, Burgess would be better. That said, Genia was playing much better earlier this year. Why is he so slow to get to the breakdown?
Fat cat is playing badly but we have no one else better.
Cooper defended badly this week (again) and attacked with less venom. But he is still far and away our best 10. Cooper just needs to be told on pain of being pulled that he must hit all tackles at knee level or lower.
JO'C is not a winger's bootlace and Turner, Hynes or soon Ioane have to be there.

Giteau on the other hand has had one good game since January (last week) and repeated shockers. He lost us the England and AB games in Sydney through poor kicking. When the chips are down he goes to water. No other game stands out, apart from one S14 game perhaps, and his games at 10 were diabolical. He should be rested for the EOYT and come back through the S15. Barnes would strengthen the team enormously at 12, especially defensively.

I'm probably blind, but I haven't really seen this. The only times I've seen the ball at the base with no halfback while Genia is on the field is either because he's had a dart (and the phase after it if it was quick ball), he's decided to go into the ruck because of some counter rucking or he is actually injured.

OK there may be a couple of times where it wasn't any of the above but he's there more often than not. I think some people are forgetting what fresh legs can do when they compare the last 10 minutes of a guy who has played 60, to the guy who hasn't played any yet.

It's not as simple as there being no halfback. At Genia's old speed (or Burgess' now) there is the option for extremely fast ball. That just isn't happening and the ball is being held in the ruck while Genia gets into position.

I hope Deans looks at some other options during the Spring tour. Giteaus kicking is anything but consistent and he's still not exactly tearing oppositions apart in attack. Give A.Fanger a bit more time and see how he develops. With the world cup around the corner it's a position we should have more depth in (not Barnes)

Well, I only want to comment on his goal kicking.

Anyone - even Carter and Jonny can have a bad day. But you could see that Giteau totally lost confidence after his second miss. The one he got just before half time was such a timid little chip and hope that he laughed after it went over. He should have been pulled.

This, and the awful awful way that Cooper kicks goals tells me that we need a full-time kicking coach. Which it looks like we're getting.

You people should have heard the crowd roar when they gave it to KB (Kurtley Beale).

I wasn't sure if that reaction was a 'thanks for Bloemfontein' or a 'About bloody time, Gits is having a shocker'.

It was a bit of both, more of the latter I think though.

Burgess shouldn't replace Genia, but he should definitely be brought on a lot earlier: like brought on at the 50th minute.
