Onwards and upwards for the Reds it seems after the last 2 blowout wins. They should be landing in Jo'burg about now to get ready for the Lions match.

Don't think this game can in anyway be considered as a certain win. Although the Lions have only won once this season, they haven't been falling short of the other South African teams by much and have twice finished within 7 points of the Bulls.

I wonder if Link will use this match to get Chambers back into things, either starting or via the bench?

My Line up prediction for the Reds is:
15. Harris 14. Davies 13. Chambers 12. Fainga'a 11. Ioane 10. Cooper 9. Genia 8. Houston 7. Robinson 6. Higginbotham 5. Horwill 4. Simmons 3. Slipper 2. Fainga'a
1. Daley

Reserves: 16. Hanson 17. Holmes 18. Samo 19. Schatz 20. Prior 21. Tapaui 22. Morahan

Agree that it is by no means a guaranteed win ... the lads will hopefully not be going into the game with too much complacency.

Re: Chambers, why fix it if it isn't broken? Seems to me that the last run-on side has the goods to deliver and is working quite well.

I like the look of that line-up! I do feel however Morahan deserves some more game time, Maybe try Digby at 13 n bring in Morahan on the wing, but only If Link feels Chambers isnt up to it.

Maybe time to give Shep a shot at THP, Slipper to LHP, Holmes on bench to cover both sides. Wouldn't mind seeing Digby at 13 - altough Taps hasn't done anything wrong

wouldn't be surprised to see Link give Daley and Slipper a rest over the next couple of weeks, he did it last year from memory as well

I would play them against the lions and then rest them (on bench) against the Stormers. I realise this seems strange to rest them against a top line team but it may allow them to sneak an advantage by changing the Stormers plans in 2 weeks time. I think we need to be realistic and get at least one win (with bonus point) and at least a bonus point from the other match on this trip. I would prefer 2 BP wins but would be happy with my previous figures. Some rest against the Stormers also sets us up better to beat the Tahs at home after we return. This could be the pivitol match of the season.

Now the Reds are front runners In the Australian group we need to make sure we set almost impossible targets for the other Aussie sides (Tahs especially!) The Tahs have the Sharks and Bulls in SA and I think this is a harder trip, so we need to force them to win both of these games to over take us on the log.

I think our focus needs to be to secure the BP win against the Lions and then do our best. Even if this means not giving a rest to our starting team when we are ahead, no rest until 4 tries are up at a minimum.

I would keep the same team and give Chambers a start against the Stormers.

I wouldn't be suprised if Link rests Slipper this week and Daley next week before returning home for the Bulls. This Lions game will be played at an incredible pace by both sides me thinks.

I think its going to be a close one between Morahan and Harris, I think the thing which will get Harris across the line is his knowledge of the 5/8 channel since he will be positioned there defensively.

Ive always been a supporter of the extra playmaker at fullback to relive the pressure on QC (Quade Cooper), but having Taps at 13 in theory can do this as well.

Ultimately i would rather see Morahan start, but i suspect Harris will be the chosen one.
