I put my money on Pocock. He has played so good this year and is only getting better. i havn't seen to many players actually get McCaw offside like Pocock did in the last test they played. Was good to see McCaw get some of his own medicine.

If not Pocock, then i think AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), not guiteu because his kicking game has lost us games. All in all it will be interesting to see who gets it.

If that photo is real, then that is absolute GOLD, Gagger, Aussie GOLD. Doesn't George looked chuffed too. I would be at receiving such an award from a group of august personages such as ourselves.

I heard the ARU has to give Gits a gold star every week as part of his contract and once he reaches 5 gold stars he gets a Freddo Frog and an extra 20mins at lunch time.

Gags was the man who came through with the photo and interview. Smith was genuinely pleased from all reports. A very humble man.

Yeah, great bloke. I'd just hoped he wouldn't throw it in the bin in front of me, and he actually asked for the plastic sleeve I'd brought it in.

I can just see all the Eales medals scattered around it now

In the 9 years of the JE Medal, it's gone to the openside flanker 4 times. I kind of think rugby needs to move away from an openside dominated game. I hope Reid or Smith (Juan) wins the Man of the Year Award or whatever the IRB call it. Less fetching and more thumping is what rugby needs.

It's a shame Cliffy's sick.
