Aloys got up over Chev in CASISA Black 7-0. I have no intel on the game but that scoreline probably suggests it was pretty dour. I have no other scores or reports from that match up so if there are any Aloys or Chev fans here please fill us in

Games were moved to a back oval (I assume to protect the main oval from getting destroyed). Was an absolute quagmire and sections of the field were 5 cm under water. Looked like all the boys had a great time and I am sure will be a match they remember!!

Given the weather and field conditions, was impossible to read much into the games other than perhaps that a combined Chev / Oxley v Aloys match up seemed to look OK ability wise and team number wise. Definitely something for those schools to consider next year (even if it was a pre season trial, as I am not sure whether the match up was an official CASISA Black match up or came about due to school travel logistics and the Wallabies v Lions match).

First XV Aloys 7-0
Second XV Aloys 24-0
15A Aoys 24-0
14A Aloys 17-5
13A Chev 17-15

Mud bowl as Bob says, but both teams seem to love sliding around in it even if it's not exactly a spectacle.

The 3rd XV and some of the Bs went down to the road to play Oxley, but I think all of them were washed out except for the opens match with the Oxley First XV beating Aloys 3rd XV 29-0.

Good even match ups for Aloys the last two weeks (only getting wins in the 2nds and 15As last week against Gregs, but all games good contests and reasonably close). I would imagine Kinross will come to North Willoughby feeling pretty confident next Saturday however.

Anyone know how to chuck some Youtube clips on here? Some great moments I would love to share but when i try to attach a file, however they're all too big.

as I am not sure whether the match up was an official CASISA Black match
My suspicion is that Aloys were meant to play Stannies but chose not to and instead Chev/Oxley substituted.
Kinross had the bye so also arranged a friendly fixture v Stannies (not official as they'd already played in ISA Rd 7)
But only guessing.

And with the Kinross v Stannies results on the weekend, Kinross might be just as tough an opponent.

watched the video and it seems that stannies were missing a fair chunk of their team from the last time these two schools played. Also stannies having a few injuries in the game played a big role in their overall execution. Good on kinross for their first win of a rough season for them getting lucky to come against a incomplete stannies side.

By the looks of the team list, Stannies only seemed to miss 3 or so of their 1st XV players, granted they were some of the best ones. However, the injury's that happened happened purely because Kinross hit harder and faster, causing multiple Stannies players to become hurt and leave the match. Cant use injuries as an excuse for losing.

That’s a little ungracious young man. Regardless of your affiliation sometimes it is more civilised to applaud the underdog.

You sound like a poor loser there @Pretty boy backline. All teams have injuries throughout the season and Kinross have had their fair share and were not at full strength either. You can only play who is in front of you and Kinross created their own luck on Saturday and outclassed Stannies fair and square.

Amazing results. Don't think anyone saw that coming!

Least of all Stannies which makes it even more enjoyable for a Kinross supporter.

I think as far as tables are concerned, as much as I'd love to add the stannies/kinross/aloys/chev/oxley fixtures in, I think the easiest thing to do is dump that round altogether and see what this weekend brings.

It's a real pity. As far as program match ups, I think the Battle of the Beaches was going to determine the overall outcome or Casisa red and the Trinity v Pius 1st XV game was definitely going to be a highlight.

Like I said in a previous post, Oakhill 15A's are on a hiding to nothing, should arrange for the Waverley Vs Auggies game to occur.

CASISA Red Rd 3:
Waverley v Oakhill @ Damian Oval:
Another cross-the-board match up with two huge programs going at it this week. It's going to be a carnival atmosphere at Castle Hill as this will be the last round of games up there before semis. In the 1st XV this will be an entertaining game. Both teams capable of turning something out of nothing for sure. But having now seen Waverley in action, I'm going to have to back Oakhill in but with a caveat... If cooler heads can prevail and Waves make use of their big forward pack, Oakhill could be in for trouble. BUT, if Oakhill maintain their discipline and Waves try to run it from Parramatta, then Oakhill will come out on top. The Blood n Pus by 7+
Program Outcome: Flip a coin with this group! Any match could go either way. I would lean and say Oaks might be slightly stronger in the 1s, 2s and 16s, but suspect Waves will take the 15s down. 3-3 all draw

Auggies v Barker @ Pittwater:
The biggest 1st XV match up of Red and of the CASISA concept as a whole. 1st plays 1st - it's going to be huge. Will Barker be able to lift for their final game of the year? Will Auggies get off to a slow start again? Absolute bragging right for both teams so I think this game will be hard fought by both teams. Very hard to predict a winner but I'm going to lean to Barker by 3+
Program Outcome: I think we can get a bit more clarity here. Auggies start the day with a 1-0 lead with the Barker 13s declining the game. I think there's easily another 3 or 4 wins from Auggies so I'll say 4-2 to the Beach Bums.

Pats v Knox @ Breen:
This will be an intriguing match up this weekend. Pats on the up whilst Knox stretching Auggies all the way. Pats have continuously impressed... far beyond what their team sheet would indicate is possible. Is an upset on the cards? Pats at home for their last home game will be a challenge but I suspect taking Knox will be a bridge too far. Knox by 10+
Program Outcome: This will be epic. Pats are taking a 2-0 lead into the weekend so they need one more win to call it a draw. All eyes will be on the 16s who have had a string season to date. Can Pats pull one win from the remaining 4 games? I think they can. 3 all draw.

CASISA Black Rd 3:
Stannies v Trinity @ Hogwarts
A big weekend over the mountains this week for Trinity. Given their form coming into this term, it would be hard to tip against Trinity. Stannies at home is always a challenge regardless of the scenario but I cant see them cracking Trinity for a 1st XV win. Trinity vy 15
Program Outcome: This could be up and down all day. I predict wins for Trinity in 1s, 15s and 13s but the action will be with 2s, 16s and 14s. Trinity 4-2

Pius v Cranbrook @ Oxford Falls
The action will be around the 1s and 2s this weekend. Pius having their year to remember with strong results across the board with memories of close losses against Oakhill and Auggies. Cranbrook seemed to have started their season well but fell down the pecking order as the term rolled on. Predicting a Solid win for Pius by 10+
Program Outcome: A different story here. I think Pus will nab the 1s and 2s but it could be a white out from that point onwards. Cranbrook 4-2

Aloys v Kinross @ Willoughby
This wil be a close match up but I'm wondering about the positive effect that an upset win from Kinross last week will have on them this week. Both teams will want to finish off their regular season with a win and I think if Kinross can maintain the momentum, we could see a narrow win for the Royal Blues. Kinross by 5+
Program Outcome: Aloys will provide some starch in their junior age groups but may struggle higher up - the reverse being true for Kinross. 3-3 draw.

Good luck to all players this weekend :)

Thanks, DAS,
I agree with Oakhill v Waverley if Oakhill can keep their cool, they are a great side to watch. Oakhill by 5
For Auggies v Barker, i can't split them, both are the only undefeated teams in NSW should be an absolute battle between two strong forward packs down at Rat Park. Game of the Year?
Pats V Knox. I have Knox getting up 15+, although they did have a slow start into the cas comp at the start of the year, they are an underrated side that I think could have given more this year.
Stannies v Trinity. Trinity has been building up their program the last few seasons, and it has shown. will be excited to see the whole program play. trinity 10+
Pius v Cranbrook. I see Pius too strong for Cranbrook as they play their final game at Oxford Falls. Pius 10+
Aloys V Kinross. To be honest, i haven't seen anything from Aloys this year and only some games from Kinross, but ill stick with the ISA Team. Kinross 20+
Good luck to all in the final game of the new competition. LLPS
