ISA 2025

Front row might need a bit of work. Hopefully there are more boys to select from in the 1-3 positions.

Is Max Gioiello back from injury? As he has not been playing SG Ball, I was thinking was still injured, had a new injury or had walked away from both League and Rugby
No idea about Max, I think the first official training session is tomorrow, we'll see if he turns up.
RE: front row, I think there are a few more boys vying for front row spots, Wakefield and Kable are two, I'm sure there's a couple more.

It's a difficult decision since each player has their own strengths.

Lukas B, Ben V, Sam P, Bowie, Evan S, Josh W, Sam K, Antonio W, Riley C, all have a chances of playing in the back row.

In my opinion, only one of those boys truly stands out, and I’ve heard he’s keen to play in the centres. However, I believe the team would be stronger if he remained in the forwards.
The others each have their set of skills to offer, so the final call might be as simple as giving the Year 12 players their last hurrah.
Unlike last year when Lukas came up, I highly doubt there will be any year 10 boys playing up in the Opens.

So...

It's a bit quite everywhere with trial news - nothing at GPS or CAS sites and - of course - nothing at the ISA.

Does anyone know of who might be playing whom in the limited trial window?

Heading into the ISA 2025 season, here are some must have Oakhill players in your fantasy team this year:

1. Chris "Billy Dib" Khoudair - A major threat in the air and has explosive power when carrying the ball. This kid is an absolute weapon and should definitely be on everyone's radar this season.
2. Hasani "Malteser" Bloomfield - Rumour has it he has been kicked out of Kings for punching on with a drill sargent during cadet camp so is looking to move back to Oakhill to continue his schoolboy endeavours.
3. Riley Beitsch - Son of Tim Bietsch, this kid has been putting up some incredible stats for the Pennet Hills Stags. He and the Charbel Zeater pairing have been deadly on the left edge this season so watch out for this swift halfback.
4. Kye Burley - This kid is not to be messed with. Preseason stats - 2 send offs, 5 sin bins, 9 punches thrown. Absolute menace on the field and is feared by the rest of the comp. Great player although he does suffer from white line fever.
5. Zach Haddad - Need I say much? This kid's haircut is dustier than the De La Salle shelves. This is a kid of many talents, footy not being one of them. Brings great cold water from the sidelines, which is where he will be spending most of this time sitting this season.
6. Patty Haddad - Father to Zach Haddad. Hills Bulls Legend. Hall of Famer.
7. Josh "Firestorm" Wakefield – The Ranga Rocket, With a head of bright red hair that could guide ships in the night, he burns through the opposition like a ranga on a mission for the last bottle of sunscreen. They say rangas have no soul, but Josh Wakefield’s got more heart, fire, and fight than half the comp combined. Teammates love him, opponents fear him, and sunscreen companies profit from him.
8. Jardyn Orsini - Repeating due to a mystery mark atar, the kid is in for a big season. Struggled to crack the 1st XV team last year, he hopes that another year will give him a better chance of fulfilling his firsts dreams.
9. "No Fizzzy" Flynn Farrel - Reads a book every night before bed and stretches every morning. The work ethic on this kid is unbelievable. A good kid off the field, but a bad boy on the field.
10. Uncle Xavier Tuinavai - Recently reached unc status with more and more grey hairs appearing on his head. Will be a great mentor for the boys this year although rumour has it he is in need of a home as samuel "pincher" polley has stopped paying for his food.

Have heard of a Tom Logland who was very strong in the 15s age group last year, making all the Gen Blue teams and whatnot. Do any boys from Augs know of him, and does he have a chance at playing 1's this year?

Every Teams Biggest Threat:

OAK: This is a hard one ...... So many great players too choose from that come from both the forward pack and the backline. After watching some games last year I'll have to pick Flynn Farrell. His ability to both control the ruck and tempo of the game is phenomenal. With perfect service from his pass and the sky high box kicks, I personally believe he is the biggest game changer in this team. Although with a good argument I wouldn't mind anyone else choosing the likes of Feltham, Bloomfield and Polley.

AUG: Once again, another team with great players which makes it genuinely hard to choose just one threat. Despite this I'll have to go with
Noah Rylands. After watching him play in the U 18's Australia trial games he is the real deal. With his speed, power and size he is the perfect number 8. His running game paired with his defence, make him one of the best forwards in the ISA comp.

KWS: After a tremendous trial period but disappointing ISA season, Kinross will look to bounce back this year. And its hard not to go past the Australian Schoolboy to help them with that. Oscar Cleary. This kid from the country town is a beast and a perfect number 7. His tacklebusting ability, huge shots and ruck work are immaculate. This beast is in for a big footy season.

SSC: After finishing 3rd on the table last year, its safe to say Stannies are looking to contend for the title this year. A huge contribute to their recent success and who I believe is the biggest threat. Jack Colley. His running game at the number 10 position is what sets him apart from most. The deception and footwork always leave the defence wondering whether he'll pass..... or throw that infamous dummie and break the line.

SPX: Similiar to Stannies, Pius had a great season last year with big wins over both ISA and CAS schools. A big standout for me and who I believe is the biggest threat....Kobi Mendel. Let me tell you something, this guy has it all. His ability to kick, pass, run, tackle, and ruck make him the perfect inside centre. He is an incredible player who most definitely will be a massive threat for Pius. (My prediction for ISA 1 XV Inside centre)

GRE: Just like Pius, an incredible player and real threat for gregs is another center. Preston Smallwood. After playing ISA 1 XV last year he deservedly earned that spot. Don't let this leaguey fool you.....he knows how to play rugby. With his footwork and powerful fend he is the biggest threat and a terrific player

ISA WINNER = OAKHILL

Not much too say here. This Oakhill team is stacked and has all the right pieces to help lead them to the ISA Premiership.

BEST PLAYER = OSCAR CLEARY

This might be unexpected to most people but I truly believe this kid will be the best footy player in 2025 ISA footy season. Don't believe me..... watch him play. Like I said before, his running game and defence are textbook but the the most unique part of his game is his ruck work. Lives for the work of the ruck and not afraid to put his body on the line. I watched him play against Barker last year where he took 4 hit ups off the lineout and broke the defensive line 4 times. He hasn't been given the recognition he deserves, which personally I think is a result of being at Kinross

Overall these paragraphs and words are just my opinion so feel free to change it up or disagree.
