Let's get things started guys
Da-S ...... glad you posted this. I don't think many people in ISA land knows about this. There been a lot of very good work put in by people from ISA to make this happen. For anyone on our side of the fence who hasn't read this yet:
Really looking forward to this year's comp.
OK then.... I can start on the Oakhill First XV prediction.Let's get things started guys![]()
Yes, I agree Evan could easily fill the #6 spot, big strapping lad he is and Bowie could also jump in there, he doesn't hesitate to stick his head into rucks where many others fear to go.Maybe Kenna at Hooker?
Under-rated player is Evan Stanley who I think should be considered at 6 maybe
Bowen Cleary would be a good addition to the team but not sure what position he would slot in at. He is a great defensive player
I believe so, Nathan & Aaron. Is Callum Spooner part of the great Spooner Barker College / Eastwood dynasty?

Any predictions for 1stXV and 2nds tables? any word on Auggies this season, who will return from 2024?I'm glad that both organisations have used some common sense in making this decision. It's been something many schoolboy Rugby fans, myself included, have been banging on about for years.
And whilst I'm very keen to see an Oakhill or Auggies win (only time I'll be cheering for the Blood 'n Pus or the Beach Bums!), the thing I'm most looking forward to is seeing like for like programs play each other more regularly. This should do wonders for programs at Aloys, Gregs, Pius, Trinity et al - knowing that your going to get to play in a season that is competitive and not worrying about a Knox or an Auggies going triple digits on you each week. It's a great thing to see and I hope it works out that way.
Bravo ISA and CAS boffins!
Now - let's give Grammar and High a call shall we!

Pat Whitford
I agree with your comments, the team would definitely be stronger with Polley in the forwards and Bloomfield in the centres. Lets hope the coaches (and players) see it that way too.Great list.
Personally, I believe Eddy Cayless deserves serious consideration. He’s far too talented for the 2nd XV, which he proved at the end of last season when he returned to the side against St. Pat’s at flyhalf. A centre partnership of him and "Mr. Aura" himself, Cyrus Bloomfield, would be absolutely lethal.
This shift would allow Wesser to slot into the vacant wing position, while Polley should move back to Number 8. Given his physicality and presence, Polley would be a crucial enforcer in what is otherwise a relatively inexperienced 1st XV forward pack.
There’s also word around the grounds that Ben Visagie has been training at hooker during the offseason - definitely one to watch for a potential positional switch.
Regardless of who makes the final lineup, this Oakhill side will be incredibly tough to beat, stacked with Australian reps across the board.
The results from 13As to 16As plus 1st & 2nds will determine if the school is in the top deck vs CAS or the lower deck ..... imagine half the school turning up to cheer on the little fellas in the 13As if your school is close to making the top deck ? What a way to entice more kids to play rugby.I'm glad that both organisations have used some common sense in making this decision. My understanding of how it works is that each association plays their own matches first which determines the top three. So in a sense, each season is it's own entity with the teams split into D1 and D2 halfway through the year.will the CAS / ISA comp have a promotion / relegation system as there are 2 levels? Would assume Cranbrook / St Pats would be knocking on the upper level from time to time - and Trinity / stannies etc
Wouldn't assume anything about St Pats, best squad they've put out since the Douehi era and finished dead last.will the CAS / ISA comp have a promotion / relegation system as there are 2 levels? Except it isnt calculated on just the 1st XVs results. It includes 2nds and the 13-16As teams tooWouldn't assume anything about St Pats, best squad they've put out since the Douehi era and finished dead last.
In which Pats finished equal 2nd last in 2s, equal last in 16As and 14As.Except it isnt calculated on just the 1st XVs results. It includes 2nds and the 13-16As teams too
